Story of Little Billy...

In Phoenix, Arizona, a 26-year-old mother stared down at her 6 year old son, who was dying of terminal leukemia.

Although her heart was filled with sadness, she also had a strong feeling of determination. Like any parent, she wanted her son to grow up and fulfill all his dreams. Now that was no longer possible. The leukemia would see to that but she still wanted her son's dream to come true.

She took her son's hand and asked, 'Billy, did you ever think about what you wanted to be once you grew up? Did you ever dream and wish what you would do with your life?'

Mommy, 'I always wanted to be a fireman when I grew up.'

Mom smiled back and said, 'Let's see if we can make your wish come true.'

Later that day she went to her local fire Department in Phoenix, Arizona, where she met Fireman Bob, who had a heart as big as Phoenix . She explained her son's final wish and asked if it might be possible to give her 6 year-old son a ride around the block on a fire engine.

Fireman Bob said, 'Look, we can do better than that. If you'll have your son ready at seven o'clock Wednesday morning, we'll make him an honorary Fireman for the whole day. He can come down to the fire station, eat with us, go out on all the fire calls, the whole nine yards! And if you'll give us his sizes, we'll get a real fire uniform for him, with a real fire hat - not a toy -- one with the emblem of the Phoenix Fire Department on it, a yellow slicker like we wear and rubber boots.'' They're all manufactured right here in Phoenix , so we can get them fast.'

Three days later Fireman Bob picked up Billy, dressed him in his uniform and escorted him from his hospital bed to the waiting hook and ladder truck. Billy got to sit on the back of the truck and help steer it back to the fire station. He was in heaven.

There were three fire calls in Phoenix that day and Billy got to go out on all three calls. He rode in the different fire engines, the Paramedic's' van,and even the fire chief's car. He was also videotaped for the local news program.

Having his dream come true,with all the love and attention that was lavished upon him, so deeply touched Billy, that he lived three months longer than any doctor thought possible.

One night all of his vital signs began to drop dramatically and the head nurse, who believed in the hospice concept - that no one should die alone, began to call the family members to the hospital. Then she remembered the day Billy had spent as a Fireman, so she called the Fire Chief and asked if it would be possible to send a fireman in uniform to the hospital to be with Billy as he made his transition.

The chief replied, 'We can do better than that. We'll be there in five minutes. Will you please do me a favor ? When you hear the sirens screaming and see the lights flashing, will you announce over the PA system that there is no fire?' 'It's the department coming to see one of its finest members one more time. And will you open the window to his room ?'

About five minutes later ahook and ladder truck arrived at the hospital and extended its ladder up to Billy's third floor open window -------- 16 fire-fighters climbed up the ladder into Billy's room!!

With his mother's permission, they hugged him and held him and told him how much they LOVED him.

With his dying breath, Billy looked up at the fire chief and said, 'Chief, am I really a fireman now ?'' Billy, you are, and The Head Chief, God, is holding your hand,' the chief said.

With those words, Billy smiled and said, 'I know, He's been holding my hand all day, and the angels have been singing.'

He closed his eyes one last time.

My mom only had one eye.
I hated her... She was such an embarrassment. She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.
There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me. I was so embarrassed. How could she do this to me?
I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. The next day at school one of my classmates said, 'EEEE, your mom only has one eye!'
I wanted to bury myself. I also wanted my mom to just disappear. I confronted her that day and said, 'If you're only gonna make me a laughing stock, why don't you just die?'
My mom did not respond...I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because I was full of anger. I was oblivious to her feelings. I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her. So I studied real hard , got a chance to go abroad to study.
Then, I got married.I bought a house of my own. I had kids of my own. I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts.
Then one day, my mother came to visit me. She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her grandchildren. When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at her for coming over uninvited. I screamed at her, 'How dare you come to my house and scare my children! 'GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!' And to this, my mother quietly answered, 'Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have gotten the wrong address,' and she disappeared out of sight.
One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity. My neighbors said that she died. I did not shed a single tear. They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have......
"My dearest son,
I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to your house and scared your children. I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion but I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you. I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were growing up.

Beware of fraudulent SMS and telephone calls requesting confirmation on credit card transactions

Bank Negara Malaysia would like to caution members of the public to be vigilant when receiving any calls or SMS claiming that it is from Bank Negara Malaysia or any commercial banks. The facts are:
*There is no department called "Unit Kad Kredit Palsu" in Bank Negara Malaysia
*8659-XXXX is not a Bank Negara Malaysia telephone line
*Bank Negara Malaysia will NEVER request for personal banking information through SMS or telephone calls.

Based on recent complaints received by Bank Negara Malaysia , there has been an increase in incidents of fraudsters making such calls and sending SMS to unknowing members of the public in order to fraudulently obtain their personal banking information, with the aim of siphoning monies from one's account. From Bank Negara Malaysia 's investigations, the modus operandi of the scam is as follows:
*Victim receives SMS or telephone call: Requesting victim to confirm a credit card transaction for the purchase of goods or services purportedly charged to the victim's credit card.
When victim calls the telephone number provided in the SMS, the fraudsters identify themselves as agents of a commercial bank, and again, ask the victim to confirm whether the credit card transaction had taken place. When victim informs the fraudster that he has no such credit card or transaction, the fraudster will start to sound concerned and will advise victim to lodge a report with Bank Negara Malaysia 's "Unit Kad Kredit Palsu", or with the commercial bank's "credit card management department". The fraudster will provide the victim with the telephone number for the "Unit Kad Kredit Palsu".
When victim calls the telephone number provided, they are greeted by a automated voice message which identifies the company as Bank Negara Malaysia, and the call will then be answered by someone claiming to be a Bank Negara Malaysia officer. This officer will request for information relating to the victim's banking and credit card accounts under the pretense of lodging a complaint on behalf of the victim.
The fraudsters now have sufficient information to illegally transfer funds out of the victim's bank account. Members of the public are reminded not to disclose their personal banking information to any unknown party without verification.

Right after UMNO's general election, an Islam based rehab plan was urged to be implemented to fight against corruption and money politics in the party. No wonder UMNO is slowly but surely dying. This goons just can't get it through their thick skulls can they. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the religion. The problem lies with the leaders that they have entrusted to lead the party. What good is religion when the person has no integrity and principles.
The new UMNO lineup only suggests that the corruption and money politics will only get worst. Very bad news for the little people in UMNO and the 'Rakyat' but much welcomed and good news for the Opposition. To improve, UMNO should stop blaming religion for their shortcomings and start realising that it is themselves that needs to take the blame and responsibilities for its failures.

As the UMNO party general election is in progress, many have taken this opportunity to say some words all for the purpose of making oneself known by stealing some lime light. Sadly these attention grabbers only come up with nothing but moronic statements that further enhance their idiocy.
The hottest topic and most used propaganda in this edition of UMNO's general election was about the 'enshrined in the Constitution' Malay rights issue and the position of Islam. A Perlis delegate Jafri Othman, one of the many, called for the UMNO Supreme Council to revoke the suspension of Bukit Bendera UMNO Chief Datuk Ahmad Ismail. Jafri said that Ahmad was merely defending Malay rights and shouldn't be punished severely. Err...how does name calling other races as 'immigrant' helps defend the Malay rights??? Ahmad has already been punished lightly as no ISA action was taken against him for such serious seditious remarks.
Penang delegate Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said said Malay rights should be safeguarded at any cost and a Negri Sembilan delegate concurred with this statement saying that those who question the Malay supremacy should be put under ISA arrest. All goes to show that ISA is the Malaysian Government and UMNO Gestapo. Proves also that there is double standard in Malaysia, an UMNO incite racial tension but suspension that ensued is asked to be revoked whereas if a none Malay even questions the 'Ketuanan Melayu' they face the draconian Internal Security Act.
Mohd Zaidi also added that other races when hurting the feelings of the Malays can get away with it. He was refering to the 'UMNO celaka' from Karpal Singh and 'UMNO gila kuasa' statements by Lim Kit Siang. Of course they got away with it la you moron. Karpal and Lim clearly meant UMNO as in the political party and not the Malay race. The audacity Mohd Zaidi must have to assume that UMNO is the Malay race. The assumption of such a thought and the inability for him to differentiate between the two is an embarrassment not only to him but his teachers as obviously he was not taught well.
Kelantan delegate Mohd Afendi Yusof then condemned those who insulted and challenged the royal monarchy. He even said that others do not understand that Islam teaches Malays to respect royalty. Ironically UMNO was the very first to challenge the royal monarchy when they pushed the bill through Parliament to revoke the Sultan's immunity. This fellow is a super duper idiot who enjoys slapping himself in the face and has just embarrass Islam with his pea brained statement.
One thing that is even clearer in UMNO than the corruption and money politics in the party is idiocy beyond stupidity. To get ahead in the party you just got to talk lots of loud bullshit trash. Knowing or understanding the facts and meaning is not even secondary, it's not needed at all. Oh ya, ambushing a wheelchair bound senior citizen with 20 to 30 supporters will etch your name in the party's folklore legend. Add in abusive and threatening words together with some pushing will gain you cult hero status. To achieve the state of nirvana and enlightenment in UMNO, one must go through the gruelling ritual of waving and 'keris' kissing with the shout of 'running blood of immigrants through it'. Idiots, nothing but childish morons. I do wonder still how the hell do we let these bunch of goons lead our country.
UMNO idiots even claim that DAP is very slick and use Malays for their own agenda and is embarrassed to see Malays falling for their tricks. Actually DAP is not very slick but only needs to employ child's play tactics as UMNO is just too dumb to counter it. The embarrassment is not other Malays seeing the light and join other political parties to fight against UMNO but that UMNO is using their very own Malay race to gain political mileage and to extravagantly feed their own stomachs.
Most ironic of all is in the midst of all this moronic statements being issued, the UMNO leaders have been chiding the opposition about not passing a new amended Human Rights Bill through Parliament. Here they are trash talking the Opposition but contradictingly they are defending the 'Malay Supremacy'. So what equal human rights is there in the 'Ketuanan Melayu'???
Credit should be given to UMNO though for since the day of its inception, they have always been consistent. Consistently lying, cheating, conniving, scheming, oppressing and marginalising for their own benefits. Looking at the lineup set to lead UMNO after their election, their consistency is set to continue. Sadly it is not good news for the 'Rakyat' as we are the ones that have to pay and suffer the brunt of their stupidity.

Above is a very nice 'pondok polis' situated in Tabuan Jaya. It really is nice, neat and new isn't it. Phone lines are available and even equipped with an air-cond. Far cry from the old days when the 'pondok' was just a run down shack looking like it will collapse anytime.

But there is something missing if you look closely. Found what is missing yet???

If you guessed the police personnel that is missing then you are right. What bloody good is a 'pondok polis' without policemen?!!! I'm sure the 'pondok' must have costs us taxpayers tens of thousands to build and I'm sure it was not build for the sole purpose of being a structure to beautify the landscape of Tabuan Jaya.

Crime in Tabuan area is pretty high and most residence will agree to this statement. I myself live in Tabuan Jaya and my house have been broken into 3 times in the last 2 years and my car stolen once right in front of my house!!! Irony of it all is that my house is only 3 to 4 lanes away from this 'pondok polis'.

I'm sure many others have suffered from the same fate. With just a gentle tap on the head of our area representative or MP from all those that have suffered from these ordeals, it'll probably cause he or she to suffer from a concussion!!! So those who are familiar and knows the said government officials, please do give them a hard kick in the butt first then inquire from them why is the Tabuan Jaya 'polis pondok' void of policemen?!!

In his attempt to leave his legacy as not to be the lamest Prime Minister ever to lead Malaysia, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi brain stormed the idea of the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission. Set to be his greatest and defining achievement in his rather short term as the premier of Malaysia, MACC as all his other efforts has blown up right in his face.

Once thought as a positive and bold move by Badawi as he pushed hard for the bill for the establishment of the MACC through Parliament and finally getting the green light to proceed, many Malaysians welcomed the the commission as maybe, just maybe, the rampant corruption and power abuse might be kept in check. Till date the MACC instead of looking like a genius brain child of the PM looks like nothing but a lump of UMNO excreted poo.

Some pity should be shown to him after all he can't be blamed for being born some what short of a few marbles in the space between his ears. The thing that he is guilty of is his inability to learn from his past mistakes. The people that he have kept close to him and entrust to assist him in leading the country has all come back and bit him in the arse. His DPM, the snake Najib and the chief commissioner of MACC, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan are all spineless crooks. Poors Badawi though as honestly there are no loyals among his ranks.

The MACC has proven that there will be no chance for a democratic and transparent government in Malaysia as long as BN and UMNO remains in power. The MACC's final outcome on their investigations into irregularities in UMNO has found the party to be clean, pure and pristine party only goes to show that MACC themselves should be investigated.

Prove of MACC is as corrupted is the very next day after they release the public statement of UMNO being free of any money politics and power abuse is an aide of a top minister in UMNO was caught with RM50,000 in his car. Of course it'll be hard for them to prove that the money will be used for buying votes as the UMNO general election nears. All the same, it'll be interesting to see what the MACC concludes what the money is for after their investigations. Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be good reading for a laugh.....

A few nights ago on the 20th February 2009, the annual Sarawak Hornbill Award was held at the Riverside Majestic's Sarawak Chamber function hall. It is an event where the Sarawak Tourism Board together with the state tourism ministry pay tribute and award various individuals, government and non-government organisation and private companies for their contributions towards promoting and enchancing Sarawak as a tourist destination.

The dinner was a grand and formal event, men dressed in suit and tie, ladies in evening gowns and the ballroom was decorated with black and yellow ribbons, balloons and flowers. The award cum dinner night was graced with the presence of the Sarawak Chief Minister Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and other minnisters and VIPs. As guest indulge in the 'looks tasty only but taste like sh*t' food being served they were accompanied by music and performance by the St. Joseph school marching band.

Of course the main event, the awards presentation ensued. Many were given out for outstanding in this and in that but the most notable was the award for the cleaness public toilet which was awarded to the Sibu Municipal Council. Now, how many have actually visited the public restrooms in Sibu. I personally have not been there for quite sometime but friends that frequent the town on business trips have told me of the public amenities there. So the horrifying fact now is that if it is as bad as they descripted then the other public restrooms in other towns and cities in the state must be frightful.

The embarassing fact would be the thought that the public toilets in the capitol city of kuching is beyond mentioning till they can't even beat Sibu's. I am sure that those that have patronised the public restrooms here knows what I'm talking about. How many times have we when answering the call of nature and had to use one of these toilets have hurriedly walked in, hold their breaths, focus on the relieving job at hand and just high tail out of there as soon as possible even without bothering to wash one's hands. I joke you not, the experience is just traumatic.

Having two municipal councils here in Kuching, namely MBKS and DBKU, is as good as having none. What have us taxpayer's money budgeted to these councils gone too??? What is the purpose of the entrance fee paid to use these restroom used for if not for the maintenance of it??? Those toilet attendances and cleaners that earn salary from the council are there for what purpose if not to keep the cleanliness of the restrooms in check???

Millions of Ringgit every year is budgeted and invested into the tourism sector and it would be a shame if the conditions of these public toilet becomes the turn off factor. I do hope that the municipal council officers that were present during the dinner would take to heart and put in some effort to improve the conditions of these said restrooms. However, until they do I refuse to pay for the entrance fee of 20 sens that they are charging because frankly they just don't bloody deserve it.

Oh ya, another traumatising thing about that night was the emcee of the event. A very well dress and decent looking lady I must say. Her english sounded good all but all until she pronounced ensemble and yachting. She was by no means even near. For such an elegant and obviously money wasting function, why oh why did the organisers had to get such an English ignorant emcee. Guess after all the budget that was allocated for the dinner went into the decorations and pockets of some, they just didn't have enough left to get a proper English speaking emcee.

No wonder there is a sudden stench around the cat city. Literally Kuching pooped and out came Najis. For the next 3 days Kuching will reek of shit as the incoming Prime Minister is here for an official visit.

Najib will meet with Sarawak Barisan Nasional leaders at the Hilton Hotel, Kuching at 9am tomorrow before attending the investiture ceremony in conjunction with the 45th anniversary celebration of Sarawak's Progress in Malaysia at the Astana Banquet Hall in Petra Jaya at 11.30am, with Sarawak Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng conferring the awards.

In the afternoon, Najib will hand over financial aid under the 2009 National Economy Stimulus Package to government-assisted mission schools of Sarawak and Sabah at the James Wong Kim Min Hall, SMK St. Thomas, Kuching and attend a function with the Bidayuh community at the Dayak Bidayuh Nasional Association headquarters in Jalan Kumpang, off Jalan Ong Tiang Swee, here.

'The Star' gets the tender to polish Najis

It seems like throughout the coming tenure of Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, 'The Star' newspaper has been awarded the task of polishing and keeping the new PM's credibility in good light. This can be seen already in the publishing of an article about Najib adopting a 'people first' leadership style. It raises question what perks are the editor and newspaper getting in return for their hypocritical ass sucking up to the new Commander and Chief of Malaysia and his administration.

As we all know that the Malaysian freedom of the press in reporting the truth is worth as much as a sleeveless shirt is to an Eskimo, most if not all newspaper here in controlled by the 'Gestapo' inspired Government. History has shown that CEOs and editors of major newspaper in the country are cronies of the Prime Minister at the time. These principle lacking editors will then filter and spin the truth to polish and shine the Government. Anymore of such polishing our incoming bald dumb ass PM's head will glow in the dark!!! Those who oppose, well, not so lucky they are as they will find themselves at the end where the warm dog shit oozes out as they are misquoted, scrutinised, condemned and criticised. Nowadays the RM1 or so spent on buying the papers is not worth it as the only truth you can read is in the orbituary, comic and sports pages.

In the recent article about Najib, it was reported that he met up with editors to explain his coming Government policies and in return he gets insights of what Malaysians want and expects. Najib was said to be keenly interested in understanding the Rakyat so he will be a better leader and to improve UMNO and BN to form a strong, for the best of the people oriented Government. What a load of crock!!! What majority of the Rakyat want is equality among all the races, less corruption, abolishment of the 'Ketuanan Melayu' ideology and the Internal Security Act just to name a few. It doesn't take rocket science to know what WE WANT.

There is no need to meet up with editors because they are filled with more shit than a septic tank. If the brainless bald headed twit wants to know and understand more about the Rakyat then he sould decend from his self proclaimed above all pedestial and come down to our daily oppressed and marginalised, humble level. Down here is where he can see better for himself the hardship that we have to go through everyday. This is the best and only way if Najib or any country's leader for that matter that is genuinely interested in the welfare of its people to get an untainted view of what is going on. Malaysia - The best example of power abuse

If any countries' leaders, politicians and authorities needs lessons on misuse and abuse of power, they should come to Malaysia. At worst for a slow damp brained learner it'll probably only take a month before they can proudly graduate from here with a Masters Degree in Mismanagement of Power.

We've all come to know about our country's leaders, ministers, politicians and police abusing their powers to gain benefits for themselves. Now not wanting to be left out are the prison guards.

Brutality and sexual harrassments by the Kajang prison guards has caused as many as 92 Acehnese inmates go on hunger strike to demonstrate against such atrocities against them. When rumours first surfaced on the hunger strike the prison officials even tried to deny it. The Coordinator of Peace and Justice for Aceh when inquired about the reports was told of no such thing by the prison officials in their attempt to cover up their misdeeds.

Now that the Indonesian embassy has been notified of such atrocities and hopefully with the assistances of the Malaysian Government they can bring to justice those inhumane prison guards and officials that abuse their powers to satisfy their feitish and sexual lusts.

Barred MP's application to sue the Sarawak Government thrown out

Padang Serai's MP N. Gobalakrishnan's application to sue the Sarawak Government for refusing his entry into the state December last year was thrown out by the court. Judicial Commissioner Rodzariah Bujang in dismissing the application, ruled that the Immigration Act did not allow for such review by any court unless procedural requirements had been breached.

The Sarawak Government without any reason whatsoever in denying a person with valid travel documents entry is not a breach then what is?!! By saying that the "Immigration Act did not allow for such review by any court" implies that the Immigration Act is above all constitutional and human rights and also even the law.

The Judicial Commissioner should have just said that in Sarawak the BN Government is the law and she doesn't have the balls (Yeah, I know she literally doesn't have any) to rule against them. Probably that truth would have been easier for the MP and us to accept and digest.

A quarter of the 10 million chidren in Malaysia are believed to be victims of sexual abuse but of these 2.5 nillion only 3,000 cases a year are reported to the authorities!!!

Such shocking stats this is. Malaysia should look into rape not only in minors but in adult cases too and implement stronger laws and punishment against those found guilty of this heinous crime.

Parliament should pass into law that all convicted rapist should be castrate so they can never commit it ever again and it maybe a small incomparable justice for the victims who for a lifetime will have to live through the trauma but instead lawmakers only interested in passing laws banning 'yoga' and Valentine's Day.

Murders and more murders in Malaysia

Crime in Malaysia especially murder cases has been on the rise. This once very safe country is now no better than the US where murder is a daily norm.

Alarming is the age of the victims and the murderers. They are all so young. Most recent is a 17 year old girl in Alor Setar was murdered then her body was thrown into the dumpster. Her arms, legs and her hair was found partly charred as her assailants attempted to burn her body. Autopsy showed that she was murdered by a blow to her head with a blunt object.

Hot air Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar the Minister in the Home Ministry should be held to question on the rise in such serious crimes. If he can't come up with effective counter measures then this bald bloody fool should be sacked along with the Commissioner of Police. Obviously they aren't doing their jobs at all and are just plain incompetent.

Barred MP to sue Sarawak Government

Padang Serai MP N. Gobalakrishnan is challenging the Sarawak Immigration Department on barring him entry into the state in December last year. He named the Immigration Director of Sarawak as the first respondent, Sarawak State Secretary and the Sarawak State Government as the second and third respondents respectively.

Gobalakrishnan was served with a notice of refusal entry upon his arrival at the Kuching International Airport on Christmas eve last year. He was understood to have planned to spend Christmas with his adopted Iban parents in Kapit. The MP took the next available flight out after his entry was denied. Reasons given to him was that he was not a Sarawakian and therefore needed a permit to enter the state.

Gobalakrishnan was in the state for holidays and not for official duties neither was he a criminal nor a terrorist so what permit does this Malaysian needs other than his valid passport like other non Sarawakian Malaysians. Inline with the Constitution of Malaysia, Sarawak was granted independent rule and law over its immigration but this refusal of entry is just a blatant abuse of power and should be punished accordingly.

KWSP scam!!!

This is another method for KWSP to steal our money!!!

Remember during Budget 2008 announcement last year, our Finance Minister (cum PM) announced that in order to assist KWSP members to reduce the burden in housing loan repayment, KWSP will allow monthly withdrawal from members' A/C II for the purpose?

Sounds like a nice idea! When you apply for the monthly withdrawal, you only need to provide KWSP your housing loan & instalment details from your bank and the bank a/c that you like KWSP to bank the monthly withdrawal into it. KWSP will approve your application based on the available amount in your A/C II and compute the withdrawal period by dividing the approved amount with the monthly instalment amount. Application process takes about a month and you will receive the monthly payout promptly into your bank a/c!

Well everything appears to be nice and good. It was indeed a noble plan until you take to close look at your KWSP Statement! The withdrawal plan is actually a SCAM!

This is how the KWSP SCAM works.......Assuming you have RM100,000 in your A/C II and your housing loan monthly instalment is RM2,000/mth. KWSP will approve your application of withdrawal from your A/C II of RM100,000 and pay you RM2,000/mth for the next 50mths.

Everything appears to be in order BUT.......What KWSP didn't highlight to you is that when the application was approved, the TOTAL AMOUNT (RM100,000) is removed from your A/C II!

It appears to be transfered to an unknown a/c to effect the monthly payment from there. The impact to the member are as follows :-

You just lost RM100,000 from yr A/C II. Assuming the KWSP Dividend is 5%, you will lose RM4,000 in dividend during the 1st year. Based on the above example you will lose RM10,000 over the 50 mths period!2. There is no statement to account for the amount approved vs amount paid, hence you would need to keep the monthly payment vouchers to reconcile against the approved amount over the 50mths period to ensure there is no missing amount!
Assuming there are 100,000 members who innocently fell prey to this SCAM, based on the above example, KWSP would have cheated the members of 100,000 X RM10,000 = RM1,000,000,000 (that's RM1 BILLION) over the period! Furthermore, if you discovered this SCAM early and intend to stop the plan, KWSP would not allow any cancellation of the plan until at least 1 year. That would mean, once the application is approved, based on the above example, you would have lost RM4,000. 100,000 members would have lost 100,000 X RM4,000 = RM400,000,000 (RM400 MILLION) in One Year!!!

If you're a victim of this KWSP SCAM, I would suggest you call your MP to raise hell in Parliament! For others who have not fallen into this SCAM, please continue to watch out and alert your family members & friends about this.

Malaysia - The land of idiotic laws

Just like any other sovereign country, Malaysia has its many laws and regulations too. We probably have one of the most compared to other countries. Good to keep peace in our multi-racial country one might say and I tend to concur except when it just gets plain bloody stupid and ridiculous. Here are the 2 most recently exercised idiotic laws.

Law #1: It is a road safety law and after much resources spent on researching and tests, Malaysian road transport department together with the traffic police started to enforce laws that require the back seat passengers of vehicles to buckle up. It is for the safety of both front and rear passenger so why not right. Makes sense and anything that can save lives is always good isn't it.

So if its all good then why say idiotic???

Well, the authorities are saying now that because rear seat belts can only install to a maximum of 3 so the fourth passenger is exempted from wearing it. Indirectly it is implying that the fourth passenger in the back seat is not and will not endanger their own lives and the lives of the people seating in front upon collision.

Is the Government also implying that we can have a fourth passenger at the back??? Actually what would happen if you were stopped over by the authorities is, firstly, they would check that front seat passengers are buckled up then secondly check the rear seat passengers. As the rear seat belt law does not comply to the fourth passenger so they are off the hook but then you're still slapped with a traffic violation and summoned. Why??? What for??? It is because your vehicle registration card clearly states only 5 persons are allowed in a vehicle when mobile and on the road. So your ticket is for overloading!!!

Law #2: This is even more a joke than the first but it doesn't concern all Malaysians as yet unless you are a Muslim or until the day that PAS actually wins the general election and implements its hudud and qisas laws. What happened was a man and a woman, both Muslims, in separate cases was recently sentenced in Syariah court for drinking alcohol. The punishment was 6 canes of the 'rotan' and a RM5,000 fine. The canning was also ordered to take place in a prison. Why prison, I mean they are not by any means a criminal now are they. The rotan to be used is to be of not more than 1.22 metres (4 feet) long and not more than 1.25 centimetres (half an inch) thick. It is good that a religion does not compromise against those who go against its teachings but isn't the punishment for such a little misdemeanour too severe. That kind of punishment is almost equivalent to that of a rapist. Malaysia prides itself for its communities that are modern, civilised and intelligent but law makers are making a joke out of us by still practicing such back dated laws.

There are many laws in Malaysia may it be the common civil laws or religious laws that the penalty for breaking them is just bloody moronic as the idiots that passed them through Parliament. Misdemeanour of drinking punishable by canning but you get nothing but a slap on the wrist for crimes like burglary and thieve. Punishments in Malaysia just doesn't fit the crime. Real criminals should be the ones punished severely and deserved to the 'rotan' and not the ones that drink alcohol, don't you think so.....

It’s ok if the Government but if it’s the Opposition then it is not

One of the most telling factors that you know you might have chosen to be on the wrong side is that your opposite counter part gets whatever he or she wants.

That is what the 15 Pakatan Rakyat leaders must have been thinking when their party approved the purchase of RM130,000.00 Toyota Camrys each for their official use. This deal would cost the party about RM2million and has come under scrutiny from Barisan Nasional. Being the opportunist that BN are, Pakatan Rakyat has been accused of minding their own welfare more than that of the people. Datuk Seri Dr Khir Toyo was quick to the draw and seize this issue to criticize the opposition coalition.

It is quite audacious actually for Toyo to criticize such purchases as when he was the Menteri Besar of Selangor, he approved a purchase of 1 unit Mercedes S350L worth almost RM1million for his personal use with the funds from Kumpulan Darul Ehsan Berhad. The Selangor state government had to bear that extravagant purchase and in the end the ones really paying for their luxuries is us, the tax paying Malaysians.

What is it with nation leaders of the world. Once a full blooded war has broken out they think that by just showering the offensive party with condemning and crucifying comments will stop the onslaught and bring peace.

When a nation has committed to war there is little reasoning left in their rationale. What use is there issuing unpleasant comments at them as if they going to care. If they were so conscious about what other countries think of them, they would not have turned to such brutal hostilities in the first place. It has now come to the stage that sanctions and embargos might have some effect though it does seem rather slim the chances. Probably the only way now to stop Israel's offensive is to have other countries unite their military and threaten the Jewish state to stop its brutality on Palestine or face a massive counter offensive strike themselves. Not an ideal solution but still a solution it is nonetheless. The world has to come to the fact that Israel wants to rid of the Hamas Gaza strip once and for all and threats without physical military intentions will not stop them. Only way for the atrocities to stop is to mount a military counter offensive warning against them back.

Malaysian leaders are still bent on making comments and worst, now asking other countries' leaders to join in. Most recently, Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal has called for world leaders and international bodies to condemn Israel. He has even gone to the point of writing letters requesting for it. It's a wonder how he thinks that condemnation of words will stop the war. The pen maybe mightier than the sword but if in a hands of an idiot, it is still just a pen. Harsh words have not worked so far and is not going to work anymore at this stage of the conflict.

A special Parliament sitting was held by our country's leaders and they unanimously condemned the Israeli attacks. It took them 7 hours to come up with that fact. Wow!!! What an enlightened revelation!!! Stupid pricks, action is now needed and not talk and more talk. They did come up with a 10-point resolution on the crisis though. Contents of the resolution are pretty good I must say but the usual Malaysian way is still clear to see, all talk and requesting stuffs but having others to initiate the plan. Malaysian leaders should just give it a rest if not going to take any physical action and just shut up. Parliament should just convene back to discussing domestic issues which already they can solve let alone solving a war.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim said the cabinet had decided to call for it because of concerns over the brutal attack by Israel. The Malaysian Foreign Minister even had the audacity to say that the Parliament sitting on the Middle East crisis shows Malaysia's commitment to find a solution to resolve the issue. Talk about self proclaimed greatness. Hope he knows that a said goal without action is nothing but a mere wish.

Complaints of not enough debate time on issues are commonly heard in the Parliament and now the cabinet wants to discuss about other countries' problems. Our contry is facing economic difficulties and floods caused by excessive rain fall but instead they want to waste our country's time and resources on a conflict that doesn't concern or will benefit us at all.

What Malaysia should do is ship these idiots to the Gaza strip since they claim that they are so committed to the Palestinian cause and if they like it there then they can jolly well stay there.

Malaysia has given the United Nations' Security Council an ultimatum to come up with a resolution to condemn Israel on its brutal aggression against Palestine.

Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim said that if the body failed to do so then Malaysia would then "full steam ahead" to initiate a special session of the UN General Assembly to discuss Israel's invasion of the Gaza strip.

Pretty impressive that Malaysia is standing its ground and pushing the UN body to take action but what is Malaysia really able or going to do about the crisis??? Are Malaysia just like always just full of hot air talk or are we going to send our obese bellied rusty military into the war zone???

The on going war between Israel and Palestine have seen nation leaders all over the world criticize Israel for their continued brutal attacks on Palestine. Many have asked for UN intervention and some have asked of US assistance to end the war.

This conflict has been reging on for decades and many peace proposals have been rejected by both parties. It has been a frustrating and fruitless attempt for many nations that have tried to broker peace between the two countries. Pity to the civilians of both countries, they probably don’t know the meaning of peace. Their countries have been engaged in hostilities for decades past and unfortunately it seems, for decades to come too.

The future for this innocent lives seems bleak but now there is hope as a wise Malaysian may have at last found the solution. It’s a solution so simple and yet without any violence that it is a wonder how come it has eluded so many great minds. Full credit and even maybe the Nobel Peace Prize should be given to our ex-Prime Minister Dr. M and his award winning solution is – “Just stop drinking Coca Cola!!!”. His exact words were, “They will not die if they do not drink Coca Cola”. Don’t be fooled by the Dr. in front of the “M” because he does sound more like he is talking about a medical condition doesn’t he than about a peace solution to war.

Maybe Dr. M should heed his own advice and lay off some of the dark colour happy juice. Seems like the soft drink has made our ex-PM somewhat soft in the head. Yes, Coca Cola is an American company and our purchases of the product in turn gives the company profit which generates into taxable income taxes that is paid and used to finance the American government and its ministry. This war is between Israel and Palestine so what is it got to do with the US since Dr. M himself have said that this war has got nothing to do with race or religion. If that is the case then what does America wants from Palestine to get involve, not like that country is rich with natural resources for the US to plunder unlike Iraq.

Sharing Dr. M’s views is the Muslim Consumer Association which has since boycotted about 150 products from Jewish and American companies as a protest against the Israeli brutality. Always leave it to Malaysians to make a race and religion issue out of everything. The association’s secretary general Datuk Dr. Ma’amor Osman said, “The move was made because there were many times Israel was asked to respect a country’s principles and sovereignty by not acting in primitive ways. However, they have never given a positive response as America has always supported Israel’s insolence”.

There is rational in boycotting Israeli products but what logic is there in the boycott of American exports. Last I checked America has refused to get involve in this war. It is true that the US has always been a strong supporter of Israel but not this time. So how can a country be condemned for sitting on the fence and opting not to get involved??? Isn’t this the country’s sovereignty rights that the association is harping on??? Malaysia has never contributed anything in the peace process attempts so what right have we in passing judgement?!!! We should be the last country to open our mouths to criticize others.

In the past whenever America gets involved in other countries’ issues they were always criticized especially by our nation’s leaders and were even tag as a bully superpower country. Now the US chooses to be neutral and not involve itself they are also criticized by our leaders. So what the hell do we want them to do??? This also wrong, that also wrong. Guess there is truth in the saying that you’ll be damned if you do and damned if you don’t.

As a Malaysian citizen, I personally would prefer our country’s leaders to just shut up about other countries’ affairs that doesn’t concern or benefit us. There are more domestic issues for our Government to address their fullest attention to than being a busy body scrutinizing and criticizing others. If Malaysia wants to butt into other people’s business then make sure everything back home is fine and dandy first. It is typical Malaysian Government hypocrisy to condemn others when internally we are not so well off ourselves. Probably also a gimmick to shift attention away from the troubles here.

It is quite embarrassing to see our leaders’ continuous punt at other countries and act like the big brother of all Islamic countries. The real developed and rich Islamic countries like Dubai, Kuwait, just to name a few, are less animated than us. They couldn’t be bothered about it and to think geographically they are even closer to the war than we are. Big fan of war, violence and hostilities I am not and it saddens me to read about the hardship that the Palestinians are going through. It is unfortunate that their country is engulfed in such atrocious inhumane conditions now. Everyday lives are lost, women, children, babies and infants are not spared from this perils as Israel continues its assault on the country.

What at first seemed to be a return of compliment at the Palestine, Israel has now upped a gear and it is more of an invasion now as ground troops and tanks have been deployed. Till date about 500 Palestinians and 4 Israelis have been killed and with seemingly no end to the hostilities in sight, death tolls will sure continue to rise. A lesson to be learned that this is what happens when you supply a bunch of idiots with weapons.

All over the world people have been condemning the military action of the Israelis. I too is in agreement with the views of the majority that the Isreali attacks have been brutal, inhumane and should cease immediately. War never should be an option in any kind of situation or crisis. Lives will be lost, properties damaged and the only one that stands to gain in all this chaos is the arm dealers. Victory though might award the country’s leader immortality in history but being politicians that they are, they wouldn’t mind it even though they have blood on their hands.

Having said this though it is ironic that none has condemn the Palestine government for their stupidity since it was them that drew first blood in this recent out break of hostilities. The Palestinians were the ones that let fly 2 rockets into Israel and killed 4 Isreali civilians. Though it does not justify the brutal counter fire from Israel but it was the Palestine government themselves courting with disaster. I mean you can’t possibly be that dumb as to shoot rockets into people’s backyard and not expect any serious repercussions. The fate that have befallen their country and the lives of their many innocent civilians are pretty much all of their own doing. Honestly think about it, if we were Israel, won’t we be doing the same???

Our country Malaysia has also jumped on the bandwagon at criticizing and condemning Israel. Everyday so far you can read of our ministers and politicians, both government and opposition, having a go at Israel. Needless to say we all know why the sudden relentless condemnation of Israel, because election is in the air. Sad that they are merely using other people’s misfortune to gain popularity as the Kuala Terengganu by-election nears. There is also another 2 probable reasons.

First of the other 2 reasons for Malaysia being so vocal is that the fact Malaysia just hates America and the American have always supported Israel in the past. Second probable reason could be that Palestine is a Muslim country. If memory serves me right, Malaysian government has never given a cent to any other non-Muslim country as relief aid for war.

This point can be validated by the fact that our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has approved a US1million help package to Palestine despite there are millions of Malaysians still living in poverty especially in states of Sabah and Sarawak. These communities have been living without the bare necessities for generations and our Government is instead giving more than RM3million to other country. Just to make themselves look good the Malaysian Government has once again neglected the needs of the many Malaysians.

Another point to mention of our Government’s continuous neglect is that currently a few states in Malaysia is going through bad flooding and won’t that RM3.8million be much of an aid and relief to the victims. Residents of an old folks home in Kulim has even publicly criticized the government for not sending them any help. It was understood that all these senior aged Malaysians had to evacuate themselves. Don’t these Malaysians deserve aid and assistance first before our Government tries to save the world??? Weren’t they the Government elected and they themselves have sworn to safe guard the well being of every Malaysian??? Seeing the ant across the river but failing to see the elephant standing in front of their eyes is the classic short comings of the retarded mentality that our Government is suffering from.

Apart from that, with our country facing economic slowdown and the prospect of hundreds of thousand Malaysians in risks of losing their jobs in the near future, one does wonder if the RM3.8million was money well spent. I am pretty sure Malaysian taxpayers are not fond of the fact that as trying times are near, our resources have been nonchalantly given away by our Government. It would be a real bitch if at the end the Government comes back saying it lacks funds and starts increasing or creating new taxes and increasing fuel prices. Knowing our flip flopping Government, that is what they are capable of doing. In the end, as usual the Rakyat is the ones that falls victim to the idiocy of the morons administering the country.

Being Malaysian, I am sure we are all used to the fact that not being a part of the crony chain of the Government goons, we will just have to continue to fend for ourselves as we have always done all this while. Help from our Government is the last thing we have all come to learn to expect. The Government whether the present or the new isn’t going to change despite all the promises and what not. It has been more than 5 decades of the same old same old so what is going to make this 2008 global economic slowdown change anything in Malaysia, or who will make the change, Najib? UMNO? Anwar? PAS? "The water became as dark as black ink."I soaked it repeatedly but the water remained black in colour."

I went to a sundry shop and bought a bag of local black glutinous rice and soaked it in water to compare. The water remained clear," she said.

Tan brought her complaint to Bentayan state assemblyman Gwee Tong Hiang yesterday. She said she broke a few grains of the rice from both batches. The Thai rice was white on the inside while the local version was the same as the outside.

She suspected the rice had been dyed to fetch a higher price.

Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek said that Radio Televisyen Malaysia or RTM will be airing more footage of Israeli atrocities against the Palestinian people. This was said to allow Malaysians to view for themselves the atrocities committed by Israelis on the Palestinians, the killings of innocent people and the loss of property due to bombings.

The continous condemnation from our government at Israel only goes to show how racist our nation's leader are. From day one they have been criticising the Israelis but what about the Palestinians' atrocities. They have failed to mention any about it. This Israel-Palestine conflict is now an all out full blooded war and atrocities of killing, murder, rape, terrorism, bombings and even massacres are synonymous. What is there for the 2 countries to complain about when knowing that is what war brings but still elected to engage in hostile confrontations. What right does our country or any other have in determining who is right or wrong. It takes two to wage a war and parties invovle are to blame regardless of who spitted first.

Our country's national media should make this and any other war an example to our future generations that war is not the last option, it should not even be an option at all. Instead the Government's one sided airing of Israeli misdeeds only suggest to the young minds that we should take sides, in this case the Palestine as they are majority Muslims. This will only create prejudice of Muslims in our country towards others. Clever but dangerous racial ploy by our Government in trying to win back support of the Muslims for UMNO.

Even our ex-Prime Minister has jump on the bandwagon of condemning the Israelis. That is why wars never seem to have a peaceful solution to end it because these individuals taking advantage of the situation to gain some political mileage. Malaysia should maintain its neutrality if it really has intentions of peace and work with other countries in finding a peaceful agreeable solution for both Israel and Palestine instead of hypocritically criticising America for doing nothing and indirectly encouraging Israel. What have the Malaysian Government contributed apart from talking crap.....well, the answer is absolutely nothing!!!

In recent attacks on Palestine, Israeli military aircraft have bombed several targets in Gaza killing more than 300 people, mostly defenseless civilians which includes women and children. Till date more than 600 Palestinians have been injured in the attacks. Lives have been lost, families broken and damages to the country's already poor infrastructure resulting to loses in the millions. Yes, this is the heavy-handed ways of the Israelis on the Palestinians. Yes, they deserve hell's condemnation but Palestine too have their share of war crime atrocities.

Palestinians war tactics against Israelis has always been that of terrorism plus guerilla styled warfare. They have been using churches and hospitals as a fighting position, using ambulances to transport explosives, using whellchair bound man as cover, carried out suicide bombings, Palestinian soldiers dressed in Israeli uniforms, murdering young Israeli girls, using vehicles of the media to ferry suicide bombers, executed captives that were not even involved in hostilities and even using their own Palestinian flesh and blood including women and children as cover when engaging in battle.

Yes, these are the shocking war crimes of Palestinians are guilty of that our Government conveniently omitted from telling us. The Government's promotion of Palestine has seen about 1,000 of our students from Universiti Malaya’s Academy of Islamic Studies and the Sultan Ismail Petra International Islamic College (Kias) demonstrating at Dataran Kias as a protest against the Israeli aggression. The students were seen with banners bearing the words "We Condemn the Israeli Attacks on Palestine", "We Muslim Students Protest the Jewish Brutality" and "Boycott Israeli Goods". They also burnt an effigy of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and the Jewish flag. Do these students actually know that they are supporting murderers too???

Using the current war between Israel and Palestine is a cheap and dispicable tactic that the UMNO masterminded Government is harbouring on for political reasons only. If anything that RTM wants to air it should be atrocities of both countries and the negatives of hostile offensive engagement. Armed confrontation should never be the solution even if the opposite party drew first blood. War has shown over the years that it doesn't solve anything.

Condolences and sympathy goes out to all those that have lost their loved ones and to those who have survived so far, your safety and well being is in all our prayers. The new year is here and hope and prayers are axtended to all Israelis and Palestinians that there maybe an end soon to their conflict. Abusive Polis Di Raja UMNO vs. cycling Human Rights Group - JERIT (Part 10)

The Malaysian Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) asked the police to explain their actions in arresting 59 members of the Marginalised People's Network (JERIT) who took part in a cycling campaign earlier this month.

Suhakam felt it was improper for the police operation which resulted in the detention of 28 teenagers. Datuk N. Siva Subramaniam, the commissioner for Suhakam, said JERIT and its members had every right to take part in the cycling campaign as the issues they were fighting for are current national issues which many parties had been championing for over the years.

The issues that JERIT was voicing concerns about are minimal wages, the abolishment of the Internal Security Act, adequate housing for the poor, price controls, a halt to privatising basic amenities and for the restoration of local council elections.

The police then had threatened to take action against the campaign organisers for using minors and parents for allowing their children to take part in it. The participation of the minors should not have been a problem as they all had written consent from their parents. What right have the police in determining what can and cannot for other people's children to take part in especially when it was a permitted and peaceful campaign. No laws were broken so what jurisdiction does the police have. Bloody blatant abuse of power is what it is.

After an overnight detention in the Rawang police station, some minors complained of intimidations by the police and a few were still traumatised from the experience. Suhakam is now waiting for the response from the police before deciding whether to launch a full public inquiry and pursue this matter further.

A mammoth anti-ISA protest planned

Anti-ISA activists seeking to step up pressure on the government to repeal the draconian Internal Security Act is planning a massive protest rally some time in March 2009.

The planned street demonstration will be in the streets of Kuala Lumpur and could embarrass the government as this time more than the recent Bersih rally turnout of 50,000 protestors is expected. This mammoth rally is jointly organised by several non-governmental organisations and opposition political parties.

Will be interesting to see the outcome of this protest rally and whether it will be a success in abolishing the ISA. Even more interesting would be the measures taken by the Home Ministry and its keeper Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar to counter and foil the rally. Lets hope and pray for a positive outcome and keep yourself updated as it will be an eventful 3 months leading up to the proposed mammoth rally for sure.

1,500 idiots identified in Malaysia

About 1,500 protestors in Penang today called on Malay rulers to revoke citizenship of Malaysians who dispute Malay special rights and demanded their special positions to be safeguarded as enshrined in the constitution.

Defending their privilege is their rights but the idiotic thing was to defend the Internal Security Act or ISA and even suggested that those suspected of questioning the Malay special rights be put under arrest under the Act for investigation. Those idiots really don't know the difference between the two and that the ISA ia a travesty of human rights.

Thinking about it maybe there really is actually no difference. The said special rights also some what oppresses and marginalises rights just as the ISA does.

Former 5 term MP for Lubok Antu constituency here in Sarawak has joined Parti Keadilan Rakyat together with 1000 of his supporters. Their membership application was officially handed to PKR secretary-general Datuk Salehuddin Hashim at a ceremony in Sri Aman on Christmas eve.

More worries for BN and Taib as it seems that more and more leaders in Sarawak are now crossing over to join the opposition. What will the BN and Taib do next to counter this ever growing threat??? After spending much of our state's funds in promoting tourism to Sarawak and what does the government do, they deny people entry into the state.

Pakatan Keadilan Rakyat or PKR Member of Parliament for Padang Serai N. Gobalakrishnan was denied entry into Sarawak by immigration officers under orders from the government at the Kuching International Airport.

Gobalakrishnan quoted :

"The moment I reached the airport, immigration officers told me that I am not allowed to enter due to instructions from the state government".

"The immigration officer gave me a notice which reads ‘Tuan bukan rakyat Sarawak, tidak berhak untuk masuk ke Sarawak tanpa permit atau pas Akta Imigresen 1959-1963′ (You are not a citizen of Sarawak and are not eligible to enter Sarawak without a permit or immigration pass)."

The PKR Member of Parliament left on the next available flight out of Kuching.

What an embarrassing and conceited move by our government to stop the opposition machinery into entering the state. Deplorable is what it is. That's how despicable the UMNO-BN Government are. Recent news about DAP's new rural branches getting tremendous support have definately sent shivers through the Government. As seen recently of SUPP's statement that they never neglected the Iban communities and now deny access of an opposition party leader into the state. Clearly an act of cowardness from UMNO, BN and Taib's administration.

Their primitive laws are not even preferred by their own Muslims of this country. The PAS leaders should have just kept their foul smelling crap hole mouth shut and just ride the wave. Being master tacticians that all politicians are, PAS should have known better to keep such controversial issues to themselves first till the day Pakatan Rakyat really takes over the Malaysian government. What good is it making such a big fuss about it now only to ruin your chance of getting elected into office.

That is what that doesn't make any sense at all. Politicians are a cunning and conniving bunch. Their tactics, strategy, ploy or call it whatever you like is always well planned and carefully thought out. Very seldom they would slip up and make a mistake like this to only jam their party's machinery.

Was it a boo boo by PAS issuing the statement or was it actually puposely done???

History has it that PAS and UMNO were once partners in crime before they had a fall out and went their separate ways, or did they now...??? It seems rather ironic that PAS would be dumb enough to issue such a statement which automatically swings the momentum away from Pakatan Rakyat. Their said fall out might have just been an Emmy winning performance. This might all have been a high level hush hush deal between PAS and UMNO. PAS might actually be a spin off party of UMNO to do its espionage work and to sabotage opposition parties and coalitons.

Hmmm.....now that's a food for thought isn't it. How else do you explain the wisemen, master tacticians of PAS frequently coming out with statements and issues that only seems to put the Pakatan Rakyat in hot soup. Whether or not this maybe true, it would still be in the best interest of the Pakatan Rakyat if they are really serious about toppling BN to form the next government, is to just chop off the bad leg that is just slowing them down, and that is PAS.

Sleepless in Sarawak

It has been rumoured that probably in another 12 to 18 months time, Sarawakians will go to the polls for their state elections. With recent activities by the opposition parties, those 12 to 18 months will seem just a little too fast for the BN coalition and for once the strangle hold of Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud is under real threat. What it will be for sure is 12 to 18 months of sleepless nights for the Chief Minister and co.

The cause of this insomnia causing revelation is that the Sibu Jaya and Sungai Merah branches both in Sibu has been officially launched. Members of both these new branches are predominantly Iban and it is a known fact that over the years the Ibans of Sarawak were never happy with the BN Government or its Chief Minister.

The 2 new branches of DAP held their first AGM to elect its pioneer batch of office bearers at the Sibu DAP office yesterday morning. The Sibu branch head office was said to be filled to the brim that every chair was occupied and even so members still kept pouring in, willingly standing throughout the whole meeting. More of these rural DAP branches will be set up in the coming months and for sure alarm bells have been ringing in the BN camp.

Several Iban leaders were invited to speak at the meeting and all of their speeches had the same tune in it that how the BN Government has continuingly neglecting the Iban communities despite of promising them heaven and earth. They even expose the fact that BN leaders have resorted to threats and intimidation, dissuading them to join or vote for the opposition. The NCR land issue was also mention by these Iban leaders as we know that over the years they have been robbed slowly but surely by the tyrant pirate Chief Minister and his faithful crooked cronies.

It was always a known fact that in order for the opposition in Sarawak to break the BN dominance would be to have these Iban communities wake up from the bondage of their very own Iban BN leaders. Once they have the courage and the political maturity to do so then a change of state and maybe even federal government is in the cards. With the show of support as seen at the DAP branch opening a political wind of change is blowing in Sarawak. As the DAP now plans to open more and more such rural branches, this wind of change might turn into a full blown typhoon and blow BN away. It has been a long time coming.

Taib and his cronies swan song days of plundering the state's resources maybe numbered. After nearly 3 decades at the helm he has already amassed enough pension fund not only for him but probably enough for 3 or 4 of his generations to come. He has no one to blame as years of marginalising and oppressing the Ibans has finally caught up with him. All his Iban cronies must also be shaking in their boots as they know they have awoken a sleeping giant and there is no turning back now. They now must scurry for whatever they can scavenge for in a year or a year and a half they can jolly well kiss their ministerial posts good bye as they face the wrath of the monster of their own creation.

Sungai Siput MP Dr D. Jeyakumar will write to Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to explain matters about the recent bicycle campaign organised by Jaringan Rakyat Tertindas (JERIT).

He was responding to Selangor Police Chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar's remark that the Sultan had expressed regret that there were irresponsible parties exploiting children in their campaigns.

Pretty audacious from the Selangor Police Chief saying that children were exploited to gain political mileage when the police themselves do not regard these children as minors. The police detained these children overnight from 7pm to 1pm in the next in a dark room like criminals when the cyclists was in Rawang.

Walk the talk

Interestingly as the ABAS (Amateur Bowling Association of Sarawak) AGM edges closer the topic is on members that want change but only talk about it without doing anything hence the saying 'you gotta talk the talk and walk the walk'. Must be said that the statement said is true. There is no use bout saying something then not being able or not wanting to do anything about it. Might as well don't say anything at all.

Those that are not satisfied about the current state of the association should also put effort into helping instead of just crucifying and condemning. Over the years many have been critical about the activities and decisions of the association but many have been talkers only. None have dared to step up to the plate and speak out their issues. Majority have done nothing. Every AGM, these talkers attend but seldom they take the floor and make their issues be known. Nobody I guess wants to be the indian and everybody wants to be the cowboy.

Then of course you have the other group of members that just don't give a crap. Lets not talk about these as they are frankly just not worth mentioning. For those that are unsatisfied then your constructive opinions and suggestions would very much be appreciated. I am sure ABAS being an association that is owned by each and everyone of its membership paying members would take in all views and its elected office bearers and committee members will consider any suitable ideas. After all, we only want the progress, betterment and advancement for the association don't we.....

Sounds right and peachy doesn't it but why is it that members have stop giving their opinions and suggestions???
Simple, giving much opinion and suggestions for them to only fall on deaf ears, after a while you'd get tired, fed up and just keep it to yourself wouldn't you.

If suggestions are good then why are they not considered and are just discarded???
Well, not all suggestions are viable and the committee would have to decide on which are suitable but then also there is this fact that though some suggestion maybe good to some but may not be good at all to others. Over the years decisions have seen swing mainly towards those that benefit 'influential' individuals only.

Time and time again, ABAS business have been kept with outmost secrecy. This we can't understand and accept because ABAS is an association and it exist because of its members support and participation. No one has the right to make it as if it is their own. All members should have a right to know things that goes on. ABAS has been singing the same old song of being transparent to all members but the Gestapo and KGB 'styled need to know basis' they still practice seems to make them look hypocritical. Can be said back at ABAS in the face too that after you talk the talk you got to walk the walk!!!

One thing that the association has been consistently good at till now is the constant ability of them 'shooting themselves in the foot'. No denying that it must be said they have done a pretty fine and decent job in some cases and credit should be given back to them. They have fought well to increase our annual budget from the federal and state's sports ministry but because of that too that problems have arised. With the sufficient funds available some administrators might have just gotten their heads bloated too early. During that period is when members have lost their power because certain quarters entrusted into office do as they please. Worst is some do nothing at all.

Today with the existence of the void between administrators and members, the association has made it a point to bridge the divide. Definately the right thing to do but is it all a little too pretentious??? Failure of the association to send a team to the Interstate because of restricted funds might have been resolved if earlier they had been a little more appreciative of its members. Members too want to bring glory to the state and the association. Members pulling their resources together for the common interest of the state team would not have been a problem but now it is not an option for ABAS to even dare ask as they fear of getting a boot in the ass. Can you blame some members for turning their backs??? Fair to say no cause the marginalisation has made the cut too deep.

Now the association will have to go back to its grass roots which are its members and build up the rapport again. Credit again to those administrators that have realise the cause and are starting to try and sovle the problem. As they say first step to rectification is realisation. Of course action must be taken also. Knowing and not acting upon it is as good as ignorantly not knowing it.

Credit to some old guard dogs that have been doing a fine job all these years and kudos to those young pups that have taken the responsibility upon themselves and assisted their seniors. A responce to a friend's statement that 'old dogs are still good to hold their post'. Yes true it maybe based on experience and such but only if they are not leashed, chained and sits there only. They gotta bark and learn some new tricks too like shake hands.....

Almost 100 cyclist from a people's rights network coasted into the Parliament compound yesterday. The cyclist from the Oppressed People's Network or better known by their Malay acronym JERIT (Jaringan Rakyat Tertindas) were allowed to enter the Parliament in groups of 20 at a time to hand over the memorandum for better laws to safe guard the public.

It was a nice gesture that some MPs took time off their busy schedule to escort these activists as they make their way into the Parliament House. All the MPs were from the Opposition. Goes to show what the BN MPs stance is on human rights issue.

The only untowardly incident that happened on that day was the arrest of a 39 year old cyclist who hurled abusive words at policemen who had initially denied them access. Kuala Lumpur City Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner II Ku Chin Wah said that the cyclist was detained to have his statement recorded and was later released.

Not bad for a group of harmless cyclist. Ever since they started their journey, they have managed to get the attention of every states high ranking police officer to make press statements. These cyclist are getting more attention from the police than the rising crime rate is.

Empty promises – Don’t take it personally but it’s all about the MONEY!!!

It is a favourite pass time now in Malaysia, making empty promises. All of us regardless if you are a labourer, CEO, association or political president, no matter how we may deny it, we all are guilty of making these ‘empty promises’.

For politicians though especially in Malaysia it does seem to be a trade you must have to succeed. Time and time, over and over again these politicians have promised us everything and anything under the sun and has failed to deliver even the simplest things. It is a norm isn’t it when it comes to politics. Well, that may be but a line must be drawn when one individual continues to talk the talk and can’t walk the walk. Weird is that when you stop over at any ‘kedai kopi’ and criticism and condemnation from these coffee shop politicians but these very people that are complaining are the very people that voted for the one they are scrutinising.

Come on la Malaysians, have you all forgotten this saying of ‘fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me’. You guys voted for the crook so stop complaining and you have nobody to blame but yourselves. Shame on you. If you’re not satisfied then for heaven’s sake stop voting for him. That is how you get rid of useless politicians and that is what elections and voting are for.

Heck, even politicians themselves have been screwed by their fellow politicians too. Being of the same breed of crooked politicians doesn’t guarantee any immunity from being short changed as well. Party president will mislead the deputy president, party leaders will mislead the committee members and committee members will mislead the ordinary members. It is just a vicious cycle that keeps on turning and turning.

Evident of this from the just concluded SUPP triennial delegates conference. The party’s president Tan Sri Dr George Chan Hong Nam and his deputy president Tan Sri Law Hieng Ding made a promise to step down from their party posts to give way to the younger generation. A promise that they made 2 years ago but guess what, yup, they are still there hanging on to the same posts. Guess what again, not only did they not relinquish their posts but they have retain the losing team that got whacked in the last state election. Talk about learning from your mistakes…..

All the same goons are still sitting pretty like SUPP secretary-general Datuk Sim Kheng Hui, publicity and information secretary Datuk Alfred Yap Chin Loy, Lily Yong and Chan Seng Khai, all of which were humbled in the last election by the opposition. What change and reforms will SUPP be expecting keeping the old guards. Things will continue to remain as it is and it is a known fact that you just can’t teach an old dog new tricks.

Ironically is the very people that are complaining about this is the very same people that casts their votes to elect back the two same president and deputy president. What gives man?!! Does this geniuses know that in Malaysia we practice democracy styled voting where you vote to elect or to retain and not reality tv “Survivor” tyled voting where at tribal council you actually vote to get rid of a certain some one.

Political parties are not the only ones infected with this stupidity. Even sports bodies in Malaysia have contracted this disease. Why you might ask??? Well, the answer is simple. In the old days, sports was about commitment, passion and desire to achieve greatness for oneself, for their state or country. Now because of commercialization, sports has become a big money earner may it be for the athletes or those involve with it. Government and state grants and funds are also up for grabs. With the need of equipment and facilities as well, business opportunities are also at abundance.

Sports bodies and associations face this dilemma that present office bearers will promise to relinquish their post but in the end hog it for as long as they can. Why do they do this since they have nothing but complains that it is a very stressful, pressuring and hard working posts??? Why do they refuse to just retire??? Why if it is such hell to have that post that many are willing to fight for it??? Is it because of the passion and love they have for the sport and the association???

The answer is simple and can be found in this formula :

PARTY/ASSOCIATION POST=POWER+BUSINESS INTEREST/OPPORTUNITY=LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY

It is no rocket science but as simple as it may seem there is lots of validity and truth in it. I am sure anyone familiar with any kind of such organization can relate to this fact. There is no free lunch in this world and neither does anyone wants to work for free.

Take the Football Association of Sarawak of FAS as an example. They were once a very cash and asset rich organization with a very feared and respected football team in Bolehland. Today it is nothing but a joke. The association can’t even afford to send the team out for their away matches and is seriously in debt. Cash and assets has long gone and the association is as good as bankrupted. Players haven’t received their promised wages in god knows how many months. Heck, when the association was in such dire straits our Chief Minister, the richest man in the state didn’t even want to get his hands dirty with it. With the wealth that he amassed, saving the state football team and FAS would have been peanuts for him. Why did he and many others turn their backs on the association???

Simple fact that the formula can’t work in this fund defunct association anymore because someone else has already sucked it dry. So there is no mad rush for the top spot anymore unlike when the association’s coffers were full. Think back and Sarawakians familiar with the sport will definitely recall those days when being the president of FAS was such an honour and those that had that honour tried their damnest not to relinquish it.

With so much scandals and controversies surrounding the FAS it is a wonder how come the ACA does not find the happenings irregular enough to start an investigation. I mean a well of association wound up being penniless and that doesn’t sound any bells in the anti-corruption office, a bit strange isn’t it???

Anyway, a full proof solution to the woes of FAS was finally found. Since it is a cardinal sin in Malaysia not to have your very own state football team, even though they stink, what other better way to solve the problem than to support the association through the state sports ministry. Who foots the bill at the end of the day bailing them out of the pickle they’re in…..US, the taxpayers!!!

This sport has always been allocated with the most budget for many years and have continued to disappoint. Now they want to use more of our state’s funds and resources to finance it some more???
What the hell for?!! Its like a rotten apple, throw it away before it rots the whole basket. The budget allocated for FAS should be cut and given to other sports that have been performing well to bring glory for the state. They deserve it.

One sport that Sarawak is no whipping boys in the country is bowling. Our state keglers have always delivered the goods and done us proud. This year will be different though. They will be no joy for the state as ABAS (Amateur Bowling Association of Sarawak) which oversees the development and progress of the sport in the state has announced that they will not be sending any team to the annual national championship or Interstate because they do not have sufficient funds.

Isn’t it a sad story that these kids have been training and preparing hard for this tournament the whole year only to be disappointed in the end. The Interstate for bowlers are like the World Cup of football for our local bowling scene. Men, women and children alike practice hard with the hope of being selected and given the chance to represent the state. Dreams have been shattered because the sports ministry’s funds have all gone to other high profile sports that achieve squat for our state.

Not fair now is it but that is the way things here in Malaysia works. Merit counts for shit. All the blame can’t be put on the shoulder of the sports ministry as well. Some should be put on the bowling association itself. About 2 to 3 years ago the association was very proud and arrogantly spending when out on trips because then the budget allocated was sufficient or fair to say sufficiently more. Prudent spending was then not a consideration as tournament trips and outing filled the calendar. These trips and outings were also accommodated with high allowances, fancy accommodations and who knows what else.

If they had been frugal on their spending previously then there might not have been a problem to send a team to the nationals. Available funds allocated for the association to run its yearly programme is made known to the officials so proper planning budgeting even cut backs if need be can be made accordingly.
So what excuse has the association got to give for their failure to put aside adequate budget for the interstate??? They haven’t done much throughout the year for the men and women’s bowlers and what is the point for them to pay their membership fee anyway. All you get is a small blue slip of paper as the membership card and its not even laminated!!!

What is happening to this association??? To many bowlers this association is as good as gone. The office bearers and committee members should put some serious efforts into improving the association. Nothing much happens being a member except for its bi-annual AGM and the Sarawak Closed championship that yeah, has been cancelled this year due to lack of funds. It is just sad what the association has become. No effort except that of asking for more budget allocation from the ministry. Over the years of being spoon fed by the government has just made them all too dependent and lazy.

Office bearers of the association that has been there too long and are burned out of ideas should give way to new and young blood to spruce and freshen up things. The existing officers should stay on also even though relinquishing their post and advice the new incoming generation that will be taking over. This association has come too far and is the blood and sweat of many to just let it go down the drain.

There are already a few young officers in the association now and their efforts to pick up the tricks and trades from their seniors are very much appreciated. Some are slowly rising in power and stature in the association. Lets just hope that this rise to prominence is all for the benefit of ABAS and not self benefitting purposes to give extra leverage to one’s business and to gain mileage of wealth. Remember this little simple formula :

PARTY/ASSOCIATION POST=POWER+BUSINESS INTEREST/OPPORTUNITY=LOTS AND LOTS OF MONEY

There is still much that can be done for ABAS now unlike SUPP as the bi-annual AGM is coming up in a weeks time. So members should put some effort and attend the meeting and have your say. Feed back, inquiries, suggestion and opinion are all for the good of the association. Rock the boat a bit so those that are at the helm won’t for a minute think that they can do whatever they please. The association is owned by each and everyone of its paying member and they all have equal rights. It is not own by a certain individual or group or company.
So do vote and vote wisely whenever there is any election. Stop being like them ‘kopitiam politicians’ complaining and criticizing but when they had a chance to make things right, they didn’t.

Police issued a warning to the Marginalised People's Network (JERIT) who are planning to cycle to the Parliament to hand over a memorandum.

Kuala Lumpur City Police Chief Datuk Abu Samah Mat said that the cyclist will be arrested if they do not heed the warning. His reason given is that cycling in a big group without a permit is considered an illegal gathering.

With the oppressive and racist BN government led by UMNO in power, gone were the good old days when cycling was just cycling. Even yoga is no more an exercise.

A statement was also released by father of a JERIT cyclist who was arrested and detained in Rawang. The very unhappy father said that the police did not allow him to see his son. He also said that those who were detained in Rawang were mostly children and they were detained from 7pm until 1pm the next day. The detainees were also understood to be kept in a dark room.

For goodness sake treat the children well la. Is there no more decency in the police force these days. They are only children making a peaceful stand for the rights of marginalised people and they are not terrorist or criminals. Utterly embarrassing what our police force has become. What happened to their proud motto of 'to serve and to protect'???

Oh yeah, wait, they are serving and protecting still but just not the public but UMNO!!!

Police in Ipoh today detained 50 members of the Oppressed People Network (JERIT) who were riding bicycles from Kuala Kangsar on their way to the city.

The group aged between 13 and 16 clad in red T-shirts were detained for questioning, had their statements recorded and ICs checked by the police but was later released unconditionally. The road block was said to be set up just to intercept these peaceful cycling children.

Oi!!! Apa la, you police got nothing else better to do or criminals to catch ka???

Yoga 'haram' in Sarawak

I'm so saddened to read in the papers that Muslims in Sarawak has been banned from practicing yoga. It's so sad, just so so sad that a healthy and relaxing practice of breathing and stretching exercises can be miscontrued by the idiotic National Fatwa Council.

Even more heart breaking is the fact that our state has agreed with their views. Seems like Sarawak now has become a wimp state pleasing and adhering to every whine and cries. Feels like with each passing year Sarawak has lost its identity and 'ngelaban' spirit. We have become the 'Government say shit standing up then we shit standing up la' people. Since when did we become so weak and dependable on the Government that has been taking our natural resources from our land and giving us chump change in return.

Apa dah jadi wahai anak-anak Sarawak???

Under the Taib administration almost 30 years, the state and federal government has been chopping down our trees, stealing our land and sucking our oil dry. The ones that benefitted from all this years of looting, not the people of Sarawak that's for sure.

Self denial and closing our eyes from seeing this reality isn't going to make things better and make the problems disappear. It is high time we took destiny into our owns hands.....

The Malaysian police once again showed how abusive they can be with their power. This time arresting members and supporters of the human rights group JERIT. Even YB Dr Jeyakumar, the MP for Sungai Siput was not spared.

JERIT was organising the 'Cycle for Change' campaign when they were disrupted by the police and brutally manhandled. A female JERIT coordinator was even said to have been punched in the face and her breasts grabbed.

If there is any need to scuffle with these peaceful human rights activist on bicycles, I'm sure the police could refrain themselves from using accessive force especially on the women to avoid such issue arrising of being accused of molesting. Former de-facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has been sacked from UMNO with immediate effect s announced by Prime Minister and UMNO president Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Reasons for the sacking, Datuk Zaid attended one too many events that were organised by the opposition.

According to the lame Prime Minister, Datuk Zaid attending these opposition's events is against UMNO ethics and drastic action needs to be taken. The Prime Minister also said that UMNO does not practice double standards and will act tough against those who breach the party's code of ethics. Datuk Zaid will not be allowed to appeal the decision as the sacking was agreed and approved by the UMNO Supreme Council.

Think without doubt that the sacking is a blessing in disguise and probably the best thing to happen to Datuk Zaid. A man of such righteousness and vision as him should not waste his time in UMNO. All his efforts would only be filtered and suppressed by UMNO. Datuk Zaid's intentions to bring about change would have more effect and his message will reach further now that he is out of UMNO.

Thanks to Datuk Seri Abdullah and UMNO for yet again releasing another thorn from their party that I'm very sure will come back and prick them in the arse. Hmm.....maybe this is also a clever move by the outging Prime Minister to have all those influential individuals out of UMNO so they can make life a living hell for Najib as means of getting back after his successor forcibly forced him out of power.

Today's winner without doubt is Mohd Apis Johar from the Young Malay Graduates Movement (GGMM) for his legal action of RM2 million suit or apologise to the Malays against MCA deputy president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

Joker Johar filed the legal suit on the grounds that Dr Chua questioned and did not accept the "Ketuanan Melayu" concept. Young Malay Graduates indeed, coming up with such an absurd legal action only shows what graduates we have know. Nothing but crap in the void between their ears.

Trying not to look like an opportunist though, this joker announced that the money (if he wins) will be donated to organisations that benefits the development and advancement of the Malay community. Opportunist he may not want to project himself as but a racist he is. Why only Malay community??? What about the orphanage and other institution for the unfortunate???

Here is an idea of a counter suit for Dr Chua.....demand RM5 million from that sorry excuse of a graduate for the Malays that the so called "Ketuanan Melayu" was supposed to help but didn't and is now living in hardship and poverty!!!

With the economic slowdown heading towards Malaysia and the political mess that we are going through, the ones with the sensible rational mind seems to be the Sultans. With the lack of political leadership from the country's leaders it seems that the Sultans are bridging that vacuum void.

Latest muscle flexing by the Sultans was the announcement by the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah that there will be no "Datukshit" being conferred by the state this year. He also said that there will be no additional state functions and the state must be prudent in spending as not to waste the Rakyat's money.

The idiots and morons that are running the present government should take some leadership lessons and examples from the Sultans. Think in the fifty plus years of independence, never has there been a government so weak and lame as the present one. In this last five years can be seen that the usually untouchable big three component party of UMNO, MCA and MIC that makes up the Barisan Nasional coalition showing signs of dissatisfaction among each other and the lack of unity suggest that maybe a break up of the coalition is at hand in the near future. History in the making is what we could be witnessing soon, the demise of the BN coalition and the racist UMNO.

Must say it's been along time coming. Fifty odd years of the same old crap is just a little too long. Malaysia needs a change. The change though we do not know if it is for the better or for the worst but nonetheless a change is most welcomed. It is time that UMNO realise that the Rakyat are no more ignorant to the dangerous racial card that they keep pulling out of the bag. The Rakyat now are too intelligent and wants a more fair and transparent government with equal opportunity to all regardless of race, creed or religion. Over the years Malaysians have learn to live in racial harmony and have the outmost respect for each other. UMNO today is in trouble because they fail to realise this.

Evidently, can be seen as the Selangor Sultan has openly criticised the politicians using racial issues to gain political mileage for their own or party's benefits. The Sultan is right that the politicians should give the racial thing a rest and focus on more important matters, the economy. With the global recession and the risk of it hitting land fall in Malaysia soon, all the politicians are busy bickering about "Ketuanan Melayu" and privileges only. Don't they realise that when Malaysia goes into economic turmoil, what use is the privileges going to do??? If due to the economic crunch and civil unrest occures, what use is the "Ketuanan Melayu" then???

Hopefully the Sultans of Malaysia will continue to make noise and keep the politicians in line. With the Royals coming out from political obscurity and back into prominence, maybe that is just what Malaysia needs.

And today's winner for the "Joke of the day" goes to the Chief Minister of Sarawak Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud for his comment that PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's credibility is doubtful.

He was commenting on Anwar's failed attempt to topple the BN government as promised on Sept 16, 2008. Have to admit that Anwar's failed promise has some what taken the gloss off the shine.

Now that Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar have realised that their key to victory is the votes in Sarawak and now efforts have been put in to bringing the party here. Don't think it needed rocket science Mr. Ibrahim to know the importance of the votes in Sarawak but I guess realising it now is better than later.

With the good turn out and show of support to Anwar and PR in Sibu recently, Taib is sure to be a little sore. Feeling restless and threaten as the possibility of the state election soon, Taib has jump the gun and started to his attack by character assasinating Anwar.

Well Mr. Taib, Anwar's credibility might have been somewhat shot but at least he still has character to doubt unlike you. All Sarawakians know what a lying cheat and corrupted dictator you are.....!!!

Those goons are sucking us dry of our natural resources, earning billions and giving us pennies in return for it. Is there nothing we can do about it???

THE controversy over the proposed RM1.6 billion gas pipeline running from Kimanis, Sabah to Bintulu, Sarawak illustrates a classic problem. It shows how, in a federated system of government, the power centre at the federal level can divide, rule, and exploit marginal outlying states.

The project is huge. The offshore gas will be landed at Kimanis, pumped through a pipeline that will run for about 500km — 90km in Sabah and 410km in Sarawak. It will cut across 300 rivers, streams, and very inhospitable mountain regions.

The media reported in March 2008 that Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd had awarded a contract worth RM1.6 billion to a consortium led by Dialog Group Bhd to build the pipeline, expected to be completed by 2011. The consortium is made up of Dialog E & C Sdn Bhd, India's Punj Lloyd Ltd, and Sabah's Petrosab Logistics Sdn Bhd. A month later, a subsidiary of Wah Seng Corp Bhd won a contract worth RM390 million to manufacture, coat, deliver, and store pipes for the project.

Such a massive injection of funds would seem to bring a windfall of "development" to Sabah, with the possibility of nurturing the petrochemical industry and all downstream activities. So why are the political leading lights so set against the project?

In fact, Tan Sri Bernard Dompok, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department and president of the United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Organisation (Upko) even threatened to leave the Barisan Nasional (BN) if the project went ahead.

To understand why, we have to revisit long-standing grouses among Sabahans, and Sarawakians as well, against federal exploitation of this valuable natural resource in their state. There just haven't been tangible benefits to the local people.

Milking Sabah dry

As they see it, this project is just another federal attempt to milk Sabah dry, while a great percentage of Sabahans still live under the poverty level. In fact, the eastern Sabah regions like Sandakan are on the verge of an energy crisis. Meanwhile, the only payment that Petronas has to make to the Sabah state government is a paltry 5% royalty.

So far, the public conversation between Petronas chief Tan Sri Hassan Merican and Sabah political leaders is like a dialogue between a chicken and a duck. The Petronas CEO sees himself as a technocrat only, and his decision is entirely based on rational business consideration. It is all about the bottom line of profit and loss for Petronas.

Petronas is wholly owned by the federal government. It is vested with the entire ownership and control of all petroleum resources in Malaysia through the Petroleum Development Act 1974. It is a powerful multinational company, a power unto itself.

In Malaysia, all energy policies are crafted and overseen by the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) and the Implementation and Coordination Unit (ICU). Both of these answer directly to the prime minister. In short, the prime minister is the ultimate boss for Petronas, which then becomes a cash cow at his disposal in his macro-economic planning and dispensation of patronage. In reality, Petronas can simply ignore state politicians in Sabah.

But Sabahans see things differently. They see the RM1.6 billion project as just another blood-sucking scheme from Kuala Lumpur, while the majority of the Sabah population wallow in socio-economic backwardness.

Divide and rule

The most vocal critic of the gas pipeline project, Datuk Yong Teck Lee, president of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP), said on 10 Nov 2008 in Kota Kinabalu:
"That gas and oil belongs to Sabah, not anybody else. Petronas only has a right to extract the oil and gas. If we cannot use it, then do not exploit it. Leave it there for future generations.
"The state government can consider stopping the gas pipeline by using its powers under the land laws, which is a state matter under the federal constitution, to stop the access and transit of the pipeline."

The Sabah state government will not do that. The chief minister is an Umno man, and one does not expect him to go against the prime minister, who is also Umno president. It is a maxim in Malaysian political realism that personal and party interests must come before the people's interest.

In the end, even Dompok did not make good his threat of withdrawing from the BN when the prime minister announced the revival of the once-ditched gas pipeline project. Yong had this to say in explanation:

"The failed appeal of Upko to scrap the 500km Petronas gas pipeline from Kimanis to Bintulu was not a complete surprise. SAPP reiterates that the grossly unequal and unfair equation of federal-state power has worked against a divided state like Sabah."

"It is common knowledge that if Upko were to carry out its threat to leave the BN, as reported in some papers, then Umno and BN can rely on PBS (Parti Bersatu Sabah) to fill in the void left by Upko. It is not a coincidence that the prime minister had chosen to announce the decision to go ahead with the gas pipeline at the PBS congress in Kota Kinabalu, while at the same time, praising PBS and its leaders. This is divide-and-rule in a glaring public display."

It should be explained that this divide and rule tactic works because both Upko and PBS are competing for exclusive political representation of the non-Muslim population of Sabah within the BN coalition. An equivalent scenario exists in Sarawak.

It works because Umno has successfully infected Sabahans with the cynical and sophistic philosophy of communal politics. That is a pity, because Sabahans, like Sarawakians, are the exemplars of very good racial relations in their daily life outside politics.

The only hope for Sarawakians and Sabahans to get a better deal in this lopsided federal state equation is for the Pakatan Rakyat to take power in both federal and state governments. They are the king makers in federal politics.

Therefore, there is a real opportunity for their political rebirth and a renegotiation of the social contract that was struck in 1963 when Malaysia was formed. But they may perhaps have to discard the politics of race first.

Natives Land Grabbed Systematically By Land Pirates of Sarawak

This is a letter taken from YB Lim Kit Siang's blog about native Sarawakians' plight on the NCR issues that is plaguing our state. It is something that we Sarawakians always knew was happening. Shameful the injustice that is happening right beneath our noses and I'm sure it is happening now too as we speak.

In Sarawak NCR lands are ignored and not respected, in the name of politics of development, which will make the rich richer and the poor natives poorer. The big developments are owned by shareholders who are already rich and Taib Mahmud’s cronies with the revenues / profits are shared among these few shareholders.

Their politics of development is to enrich themselves, self interest and great greed. Now they have deforested the Rajang forests – no more timber to harvest, so they go for native lands whether Temuda, Pemakai menoa, Pulau etc, they simply don’t care.

Taib is nearing his term now and in process to create a dynasty in Sarawak. His son will take over PBB, become chairman & thereafter CM of Sarawak. For the transition period, he may place his YB brother to take over. The manipulations, self-interest & greed will continue. The village people in Sarawak, most of them having no formal education will still vote for Taib coz support from rural areas with cash in election time will be on-going. Taib is great manipulator & having vast cronies here.

They have felled all the timber in Sarawak. Now they go for natives land. For land, they make use of Sarawak Land & Survey Department (SLSD) to get land as they wish. They just walk in SLSD office and choose which land area they want. Form a company for the purpose. Then the company will apply for land. The application will be processed/approved. They will comply with all procedures kononnya, ill-intention all things have been pre-arranged & prefixed.

Then SLSD will survey the land area, give notice through newspaper with description of land the village people will certainly not recognise or aware of. The procedure is legalized & provisional land title is issued by SLSD to the company. They legalised the taking of natives land which is outright robbery. They are robbers & pirates!!

They won’t inform the affected villagers for they don’t want them to know. Unlike the good intention of getting peoples land for genuine purpose of building bridges, roads, infrastructures etc, the villagers were informed and notices sent to kampungs & long houses for them to stake claims, but for purpose of land acquisition for companies things were done in secrecy. It was the other way round.

They confuse people by saying govt never grab peoples land. True but only those genuine purposes for public amenities but not for purpose of land to be given to their companies. That’s the difference here. They confuse the people here with this saying by YB Awang Tengah that govt never take peoples land!!. What a liar. The villagers will never be informed of their evil intention and the company will be sending bulldozers & tractors to the newly acquired land. When they see buldozers, tractors etc only then the natives will know.

Villages will lodge complaints to SLDS, District Office, Police, YBs - the answer is the land acquisition is already legal, nothing much can be done!!! The advice given was “you all (villagers) need to negotiate with the company, minta kasihan mereka!!!! Imagine your own property - your land grabbed by the eagles then minta kasihan. What right do they have?

That’s the damned reply. That’s Taib’s administration here. He has hijacked the government institution. Since no one to turn to, so natives will try to stop the bulldozing of their rubber gardens, farms, empty land which is their “temuda” & “pemakai menoa” themselves. They have no money to fight this legally. Even then they can hardly win coz here all land belongs to state government.

The onus of proof is on the natives. In actual fact it should be those people who is taking natives land to prove the land is indeed not NCR. Our ancestors all have died, their has been no documentation in 1900s just NCR status accord by the land code.

Here natives are not allowed to survey their NCR land but the government can. Even if natives want to survey their NCR land first they need to prove land is planted 90%+ with crops, ok fair enough , then provided the area is not marked for development. Even then SLSD will not give land title to natives.

You know the SLSD, state gov has been hijacked by the pirates, Taib is the one-eyed pirate leader here. He is worst than the Somalia pirates.The rich and influential shareholders will have a very big piece of land for 60 years or more…which is not theirs in the first place.The few rich shareholders will have millions in revenues/profits.

So YB, this is happening everywhere in Sarawak now, natives are being evicted from their land now. Let me give you one of the real scenarios going on now at Serian under Muara Tuang DUN constituency (Taib’s brother) which is under Kota Samarahan Parliament constituency (Taib’s son). They plundered natives land there now under their proxies.

One of the NCR areas given to Usaha Jasamaju Sendirian Berhad, company number 660630-K. locality of land: between batang samarahan and Ensengei road, Serian. Area:354.00000 Ha, more or less convert to Mixed Zone land from 6/12/2006-5/12/2066. Lot number 00890, map sheet number: N5-13-1(5.1) TRN: 08-LCPLS-016-000-00890, Prov. Lease of state land - C. Remarks: Alienation of Land vide L.&S.80 No.69/2006, Svy. Job No.125/2006, DLS’s approval ref: 15/HQ/AL?103/2005(8D) dated 19.10.2006 & SLS’s ref: 15/SD.Doss.NO.AL/34/2006 issued at request of Ting Tiu Gung.

The village people who have been staying there since generations even before the Sarawak Government existed were never informed nor consulted - what more to be invited to have some shares and together participate develop the land there.

When the SLSD survey the areas for 1 month more or less, it was done in total secrecy. When village people ask them, no one would talk or answer. If there is answer they would lie to them. Now they are bulldozing peoples’ land, rubber trees with no regard to natives rights who actually own the land. They bersikap kurang ajar!!

Please YB, help address the issues of land belonging to natives in Sarawak urgently, a lot of lands now being plundered and taken from them right under their noses for Taib’s richness, cronies’ self-gains, greed at the expense of natives. This is only one case, there are many more. More tears of natives befell the land now.

The state government institution has been totally hijacked by Taib & his cronies here. He totally make use of this opportunity. The good example is the land described above. Now they are bulldozing the land, rubber trees, temuda, pemakai menoa, pulau without regard to peoples feelings as fellow human beings - the villagers are helpless now.

Bring this native land issue up to the attention of the whole country - so that the nation knows what Taib is doing here!!! he has hijacked the State Government for greed.

Do something now YB. Don’t be too busy with Semenanjung politics only.

This fellow has gained quite a reputation these days for his constant use of foul languages during Dewan Rakyat sittings. This fellow joined the many ranks of clowns that have turn the Dewan Rakyat and Malaysian politics into a joke. To date this bugger has at least on three occassions used profanity in his arguements but I guess there is no reason for him to stop since he seems to get away with it. No disciplinary action whatsoever has been taken on him yet for his un-Parliamentary behaviour.

Inul Daratista's planned concert was rejected because the artiste's dance move was inapropriate as claim by certain religious leaders but blatant use of profanity in the Dewan Rakyat is fine and ok???!!!

Despite rampant murder, rape and robbery, IGP still claims Malaysian streets are safe

Police have given their assurance that Malaysia is still a safe place despite the rise in domestic crime and instability in the region.

Inspector -General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan did not deny that crime rate is high but insists Malaysia is still a safe place. He said this after delivering a key note address entitled "Instilling Confidence in the Royal Malaysia Police" at the opening of the 5th Forum on Crime and Policing at Universiti Sains Malaysia as reported in the New Straits Times.

He was quoted to have said that domestic crime even though is on the rise, it is still at a manageable level and the police are more than capable of handling it.

Ironically is on that very same newspaper publishing his statement, can be seen reports of murders, rapes, sodomys and robberies. The most disturbing of the reports got to be that a gang of six went on a rampage in Taman Sentosa, Klang, killing two and leaving five seriously injured in separate attacks.

The parang-weilding gangsters, believed to be high on drugs, randomly picked their victims then attacking and robbing them. This same gang is also suspected to be involved in the sodomy and murder of a Thai national in Sungai Buloh recently.

Since it was reported that all the killings were in separate attacks then how come no arrest or even suspects yet that has been identified by the police??? How many times and how many more innocent lives have to bve taken before the police have a vague idea of the criminals??? Is this what the IGP meant by saying that the police force are still capable of coping and managing the crime rate??? If it is so then dread the day we must when the IGP finally says that the crime rate is un-manageable and the police are incapacitated.

To give some credit back, Malaysia actually still is relatively safe compared to many of its neighbours. Malaysians generally are very peaceful and civilised people except for a few rotten eggs. The police as the IGP puts it, "crime rate still manageable", should step up measures to bring it down. Every year so far, annual crime rate has been going north instead of the direction of south and that is alarming.

Tan Sri Musa also said that the police force crime solving rate is up to 40% but the problem here is not about how much crime they solve but how much crime there is. What Malaysians want is for the streets to be safe again and low crime rate not high solving percentage. As the police like to preach that prevention is the best method then they should start putting into practice rather than just talking about it.

“To Fatwa or not to Fatwa??!!!”

The very free nothing else better to do National Fatwa Council recently issued an edict banning Muslims in Malaysia against the exercise of ‘Yoga’. This edict comes after their ban of ‘tomboyism’ just not too long ago.

Yes, that is exactly how free they are. Reason for the ban on yoga according to these wise Muslims is because yoga originated and contains Hinduism elements (bad news for Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak…..Hehe!!!). They fear that continous practice of yoga would sway the beliefs of Muslims practicing it. Fatwa wise men should have some faith and give credit to their fellow Muslims. Muslims are known to be religiously strong minded and don’t think stretching and breathing exercises will corrupt their beliefs in any way. Those that are religiously weak then not only yoga will sway them from their religious teaching, so will everything else. Then what is the Fatwa going to do??? Ban everything or confine them to house arrest in the mosque???

The National Fatwa Council is like the parliament for Islam religion in Malaysia. They are the politicians of Islam that think up the do’s and don’t’s for Muslims in this country. They have come up with some acceptable and reasonable laws in this country for all Muslims to adhere to but some are just plain stupid. This yoga ban is a fine example of their idiocy. Pity for the Muslims in this country for having morons determining what they can do and cannot do.

Over the past many years, the National Fatwa Council have grown from strength to strength as they passed laws regarding to Islam without any objection or rejection from the country’s leaders, ministers and community alike. Reason for this obedience is the fear of being branded as un-Muslim. In view of this the Fatwa Council, since no one dares to question them, have taken for granted their power by passing laws according to their definition and disregarding the views and opinions of their fellow Muslims.

However, after being so used to having their way, they must have forgot a clause in the Constitution of Malaysia which states that the King is the head of religion in this country. The King is the one that can choose to approve or reject whatever cuckoo laws those goons cook up. In past years the Royalty has always decided to be silent and take the back seat in regards to the administration, laws and policies whether civil or Islamic most probably cause of the fear as being tagged a too radical Islam.

With the recent reminder to the National Fatwa Council about who is the actual boss of the Islam religion in Malaysia and not just make up laws as they please without first running them through with the Ruler’s Council, is a welcome sign that the King and Sultans in this country has finally flexed their muscles. The Fatwa Coucil this time must have pushed their luck a little too far and passed one religious law too many.

The sudden involvement of the Royal Rulers is a breath of fresh air filling up the vacuum of leadership left by weak political Executives running this country. Maybe and hopefully with the Rulers regaining prominence after such a long spell in the shadow of silence, we shall see Bolehland returning to some sensible and normalcy democracy.

According to presidential historian Davis Logsdon of the University of Minnesota, some Americans might find it "alienating" to have a President who is so verbally proficient in English. The fear is that because Obama's always grammatically perfectly correct sentences, the average American Joe and Jane might not be able to relate to their new President.

Poor Obama, after breaking the race barrier and winning right to govern his country, now he has to face the daunting task of not speaking proper English if he is to be accepted. Merit, vision and policies now are not the only criteria needed to head one of the world's most advanced and largest economy. Future aspiring US Presidents should take note that to blend in and to be accepted, DO NOT learn English well.

The one Obama got to thank for putting him in such a predicament is his predecessor, George W. Bush. Truth can be told that Bush must be the most idiotic and moronic American President in history. During Bush's two terms as President, he has set new heights for idiocy that any half brain would find it hard to emulate let alone an intelligent man as Obama. Maybe that is the reason why Al Gore lost to Bush in the last presidential election, Gore was deemed too smart.

Party election is coming for UMNO and election won't feel like an election without the normal back stabbings. Wanita UMNO are no exception to this common practice. As they say, politicians are ust greedy spineless opportunists.

Main event in the Wanita polls would be the bitch fight for the women wing Pesident post between now President, Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz, and her current deputy, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.

It was almost a no contest for the post as it was earlier agreed that Tan Sri Rafidah would return to her present post unchallenged only to hand over power to Datuk Seri Shahrizat come June 2009. All was going well until recently Shahrizat made an about turn and decided not to wait and announced she will contest for the post in the coming party election. Goes to show when devils made deals with each other, surely one will end up with a fork in the back.

Rafidah in her counter move of Shahrizat's turn around has announced that the recently agreed power transition plan is now 'null and void'. She said that if she were to win in the coming polls, she would see out her 3 year term.

One wonders if the bold move by Shahrizat is the right option or she should have just patiently wait for the power transition in June 2009. Shahrizat's 73 nomination votes to Rafidah's 117 shows that Shahrizat might have a tough time beating her well seasoned campaigner.

The build up to the Wanita UMNO show seems pretty exciting and don't think it will disappoint and the sure to ensue bitch slapping and hair pulling will surely entertain. What promises will be a great battle of the heavy weights (and literary so too...hehe!!!) of Wanita UMNO and front seat reservation is much advised. Who will win this no rules anything goes caged match, the defending or the challenging???

Dr. Rais Yatim, UMNO Supreme Council member and also Foreign Minister, called Gerakan Wanita Chief Datuk Tan Lian Hoe, 'celupar' (B.M. for loud-mouth).

The name calling was prompted because of Tan's statement in a speech made more than a month ago at Wanita Gerakan's national delegates conference on Oct 10. Tan was to have said that historically the Malays were also immigrants in this country and thus equaling the Malays to other races.

Yes Tan, you should know better than to issue such statements. The Malays are the 'master' of Malaysia and all the other races are their 'slaves'. In Malaysia historic realities cannot be challenged and historic realities of the Malays were once immigrants too cannot be mentioned. That part of Malaysian history is no more.

Strong Dayak winds in Sarawak sending shivers up Taib's arse!!!

Ngemah state representative, Gabriel Adit along with former PRS Balleh division publicity chief Beginda Minda and 12,000 Sarawakians have applied to join Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's Parti Keadilan Rakyat or PKR.

Their application forms were submitted to the PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim at a huge dinner gathering in Sibu which saw more than 4,000 people in attendance. During his speech at the function, Adit, a four term assemblyperson, told the crowd that the main reason for joining PKR was due to the "political castration" of the Dayak under the BN state government.

"Enough is enough of BN. Now change is coming to Sarawak." he said, adding that there are many BN members waiting to join PKR.

The Dayak community of Sarawak are disgruntled with the BN government's management (maybe mismanagement is more of a right word) of native customary rights land.
This land rights issue has been going on for quite some time now. Groans and moans from the Dayaks of being short changed or forced out from their land by the government is an everyday norm here in Sarawak. Some more intelligent once will make it known publicly and some not so fortunate ones doesn't even know that they've been had till it's too late to do anything about it.
Now with PKR and people like Adit fighting for them, we do hope that the Dayaks will finally get what they deserve being one of the true natives of this land of the Hornbills.

Former PRS Balleh division publicity chief Beginda Minda joining up with PKR will add even more strength and dimension to the party here in Sarawak. This feistly fella resembles the spicy pepper that Sarawak is famous for. He was forced to leave the state BN component party following his bold call for the Chief Minister and his 2 deputies to step down.

Over the years under the same Chief Minister and BN administration, we Sarawakians are not spared from the marginalisation, poverty, oppression and discriminations as faced by our counterparts in other states. It is a plague that is killing Malaysia slowly and must be rid of as soon as possible. Failure to adhere to these dictator ministers then consequences such as lost of job, tenders and projects, you will have to bear. Now with the 12,000 new PKR members with a promise of more to come the government will not think that they can always have their way and get away with things like they have grown use to over the past 20 years or so.

News of such turn out in support of PKR must have ruined Chief Minister and long time UMNO suck up, Taib Mahmud's weekend. Honestly, don't think majority of Sarawakians will pity Taib at all. This white haired demon and his family has been sucking Sarawak and its people dry all these years and it is time for him to go.

Singer-guitarist Paula Khoo detained!!!

Singer-guitarist Paula Khoo was detained bt the police for taking part in the "Abolish ISA" vigil in Penang recently. Paula was at the vigil as an emcee for the peaceful candle lit event.

The vigil was said to have lasted for a bout 30 minutes only as riot police arrived and oredered the crowd to disperse immediately. Paula was said to be in the midst of singing the song "Sing a song for freedom" before she was interrupted by the call to disperse. Not wanting any trouble the crowd did as ordered and peacefully went of.

It was then as the crowd was walking away from the venue that the police moved in and detained Paula. Police said that Paula was detained only for questioning and will be released later in the evening as she will not be formally charged.

For heaven's sake la, why don't you police make yourself useful and go catch real criminals. Crime in Malaysia is on the rise and all you lard arsed police are concerned about is a group of harmless, peaceful people armed with candles singing songs...WTF!!!

Oil falls to 22-month low at $55 on recession fears

PERTH (Reuters) – Oil fell for a third straight day on Thursday to hit a 22-month low of $55 a barrel as mounting pessimism about the global economy outweighed OPEC's comments that it could cut output again as early as end-November.

OPEC officials, concerned about oil's steep drop from record highs over $147 a barrel per day (bpd) in July, said the cartel could possibly decide by the end of the month to cut production again to raise prices.

But comments from the producer group failed to lift oil prices, as investors focused on near-term demand worries after the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) slashed America's 2008 oil demand outlook and the International Energy Agency (IEA) flagged further reduction in its oil forecast.

U.S. light crude for December delivery was down 95 cents at $55.21 a barrel by 0702 GMT, after having fallen earlier to $54.67 -- the lowest since January 30, 2007.

London Brent crude fell $1.02 to $51.35, off an earlier low of $50.60.

"Oil prices continue to be pressured by fears that weaker international economic growth will depress oil consumption," said David Moore, an analyst at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Oil fell 5 percent overnight, along with a big drop in U.S. stock markets, after the U.S. government shifted its position on how it planned to use its $700 billion bailout fund, which added uncertainty to financial markets and renewed fears of a protracted global recession.
Expectations that U.S. government data to be released on Thursday would show a further build-up of crude and gasoline stocks also weighed on prices, analysts said.

Analysts polled by Reuters ahead of U.S. weekly inventory data forecast crude oil stocks rose 1.2 million barrels last week, while distillate and gasoline inventories were seen rising by 800,000 barrels and 300,000 barrels respectively.

Oil has lost about $91, or 62 percent, from its record high of above $147 struck in mid-July, on growing evidence that recent high energy prices and the financial crisis have dented energy demand in the United States and other industrialized nations.

Demand in the United States, the world's biggest consumer of oil, was expected to fall by more than 1 million barrels per day (bpd) for the first time since 1980 this year, the EIA said.

The EIA also forecast world oil demand to rise by only just 100,000 bpd in 2008 and will be virtually flat in 2009, as it cut its 2009 oil price forecast to average around $63.50 a barrel.
Analysts said a move by IEA to further cut its oil demand growth forecast later on Thursday could heighten fears among investors.

In the latest sign that China's economy is also being hit by the global downturn, data on Thursday showed Chinese annual industrial output slumped to 8.2 percent in October, the weakest reading since late 2001, as manufacturers struggled with a drop in export demand and weakness in the domestic property market.

China also posted its first annual decline in power output during a non-holiday month for a decade, with a 4 percent fall in October.

OPEC President Chakib Khelil told Reuters on Wednesday that Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries may cut oil supplies again, possibly as early as at November 29 meeting in Cairo, if prices keep falling and the world economy weakens.

"If the prices continue their decline, most probably OPEC will have to take a further decision on a cut in supply," Khelil told Reuters in an interview in Algiers.

Umno delegate says he received parcel with ballot papers

IPOH: A delegate to the Gopeng Umno division meeting on Oct 26, said on Thursday that he had received an express delivery parcel containing 78 ballot papers for several posts in the divisional election.

Hang Tuah Din who is also Kampung Rapat Jaya Umno branch deputy head, said he received the parcel four days after the meeting from a sender named Ikhwah Islamiah of Sungai Siput.

"There were 78 genuine ballot papers believed to have been issued or added during the meeting," he told reporters here.

Five of the ballot papers were for the post of deputy chief, three for vice chief and 70 for delegates to the party general assembly in Kuala Lumpur.

Hang Tuah said that in the parcel, there was a note which said the sender was aware of an abuse that happened in the meeting.

He said that two days after the meeting, there were 85 ballot papers in excess for the post of committee members and this cast suspicion that an abuse had happened for all posts contested.

On Friday, 20 Gopeng Umno divisional delegates staged a protest against the outcome of the meeting, claiming that cheating had occurred during the tallying process.

Taman Lapangan Permai Umno branch head Ahmad Ishak also submitted a memorandum of protest to Perak Umno liaison body executive secretary Datuk Hasbullah Othman.

In the meeting, Hamzah Mohd Kasim was elected divisional chief after obtaining 186 votes. His challengers Mustaffa Kamal Mohd Nawi and Rustam Affandy Abdul Aziz received 102 and 77 votes respectively. -Bernama

Crusader of ‘Bangsa Malaysia’ vs UMNO cult believers of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’

Much spit and spatter has been going on about the concept of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ or ‘Malay Supremacy’. There will never be an end to this as the concept does have racial elements in them no matter how you choose to read it. A more considerate approach or amendment to it might cool things down but if UMNO persist to use it as their party’s propaganda then all hell will break lose again.

The issue now with the concept is said to be just a diversion gimmick of the UMNO led Government to cover up more pressing matters that our nation is facing and some say that it is UMNO’s deceited tactic by playing the racial card to win back the wavering support of the Malays. Which is true??? I believe both are. Both are a conveniently win win situations for UMNO. Smart tactic of ‘killing two birds with one stone’.

It is actually a very well thougt out plan with immaculate execution and timing. Cheers to the brains of UMNO, their Supreme Council members, for concocting such a clever and full proof plan. Guess you goons are not that stupid after all but still moronically racist goons nonetheless.

So what is this ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ or ‘Malay Supremacy’ concept???

The definition is a belief that Malay people are the Tuan (Masters) of Malaysia. The Malaysian Chinese and Indian-Malaysians who form a significant minority in Malaysia are considered beholden to the Malay for granting them citizenship in return for special privileges as set out in Article 153 of the Constitution of Malaysia. This quid pro quo arrangement is usually referred to as the Malaysian Social Contract. Although the idea itself predates Malaysian independence, the phrase ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ did not come into vogue until the early 2000s.

Article 153 of the Federal Constitution of Malaysia grants the Yang di-Pertuan Agong or King of Malaysia, responsibility for safe guarding the special position of the Malay and other indigenous peoples of Malaysia collectively referred to as Bumiputera and the legitimate interest of all other communities. The article specifies how the King may protect the interest of these groups by establishing quotas for entry into the civil service, public scholarship and public education.

The Reid commission suggested that these provisions would be temporary in nature and be revisited in 15 years, and that a report should be presented to the appropriate legislature (currently the Parliament of Malaysia) and that the “legislature should then determine either to retain of to reduce any quota or to discontinue it entirely”.

What ensued was the introduction of the national Economic Policy or NEP aimed to reduce the economic gap among the various races. After Article 153 reared its validity of 15 years, the May 13 race riots occurred and so the article was never reviewed and the NEP which was suppose to end was extended till 1991, twenty years after its implementation. When the NEP was finally revised it was considered a failure and was replaced with NDP or National Development Policy but with a very heavy stench of the old NEP elements.

According to constitutional scholar Shad Saleem Faruqi, the Malaysian Constitution has been amended 42 times over the 48 years since independence as of 2005. However, as several amendments were made each time, he estimates the true number of individual amendment is around 650!!! He stated that “there is no doubt” that “the spirit of the original document has been diluted”.

This sentiment has been echoed by other legal scholars who argued that important parts of the original Constitution, such as jus soli (right of birth) citizenship, a limitation on the variation of the number of electors in constituencies, and parliamentary control of emergency powers have been so modified or altered by amendments that “the present Federal Constitution bears only superficial resemblance to its original model”. It has been estimated that between 1957 and 2003, “almost thirty articles have been added and repealed” as a consequence of the frequent amendments.

This revelation does raise the question that the amendments made were done with self benefiting intentions to certain quarters. As previous general election, UMNO has always won majority hence the rights to make such amendments but of course for such amendments to take effect needs the approval of Parliament. Since UMNO have majority seats in the Parliament then laws, amendments and policies benefiting to them can easily be passed without any opposition. Datuk Zaid Ibrahim’s recent speech seems to strengthen these suspicions.

Former de facto Law Minister and senator Datuk Zaid Ibrahim pointed out that the Government should practice a more transparent form of democracy to accommodate the rights of all Malaysian and that the ‘restructured’ Social Contract marked the advent of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ concept and its failure is the cause of the country’s current state of affairs. He also added that the non-Malay BN component parties were perceived by UMNO to be weak and in no position to exert influence. Brandied about by UMNO ideologues, the Social Contract took a different, more radical tone. Affirmative action and special status became a matter of privilege by reference to race rather than of need and questioning of this new status quo was not to be tolerated. Since the Malays were effectively represented in the Government, there was no way the interest of the Malays could be taken away other than through their own weakness or folly.

Datuk Zaid’s bold statements did not sit well with UMNO ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ sympathizer. First out of the blocks to condemn Datuk Zaid was Perlis UMNO liason chief Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim saying that Datuk Zaid should repent, start behaving like a Malay and stop questioning the Malay Supremacy concept if not then he (Datuk Zaid) should no longer be a Malay and leave the ’Rumpun Melayu’ (Malay grouping). Didn’t know you can be kick out of your birth race??? If so then Datuk Zaid I’m sure is more than welcomed to be a Chinese or Indian. I’m sure both races with accept him with wide open arms.

Stop questioning the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ concept even if you know that it had challenge your principles, had negative elements and racist traits???

No, Mr Shahidan. That is not the true Malay way of thinking and behaving. That is the racist ‘UMNO Ultras’ beliefs. These racist ‘UMNO Ultras’ are the ones that should repent!!!

Classic example of these racist “UMNO Ultras’ is Education Minister and out going Youth Chief Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein. This fellow is yhe perfect brain washed clone as he has no intelligence to think for himself what’s right or wrong, no mouth to speak his own thoughts but the thoughts of his party and superiors.

Criticising Datuk Zaid by saying it is ethically wrong to question the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ concept since he (Datuk Zaid) is still a member of UMNO. If being a party member and not being able to question your party for its short comings then you must have joined a communist party now didn’t you. Hmmm…..maybe that is just what UMNO is, a modern day Malay communist party.

Funny though was the audacity of Hishammuddin criticizing about ethics. A political party may it be UMNO, MCA, MIC, DAP or Keadilan was formed to ensure national betterment and advancement for the collective good of the Rakyat. That is a true democratic political party’s agenda. When a certain party marginalizes, discriminates, oppresses, manipulates and abuses its power for benefits of its selected members, is this ethically right??? Or when a party leader knows this and chooses to be silent and not do anything about it and worst, hypocrite themselves in to supporting the party cause no matter what, is that ethically correct??? Maybe that is the code of ethics you adhere to when you join UMNO.

No political or race issue can ever be complete without Home Minister and UMNO Supreme Council member Datuk Syed Hamid Albar running his crap hole of a mouth. This ugly bold bully of UMNO always have something to say and with him running in the UMNO party election this December needless to say he is hard at work gaining brownie points for his campaign. If he gets elected and keeps his Home Ministry post which I’m pretty sure he will, then we will have to endure more idiotic crap from this moron.

His half brained criticism is name calling Datuk Zaid as a traitor to his own race. Syed also said that there should be no attempt to deny or tarnish the history of the struggle by the Malays and that Datuk Zaid in practicing his freedom of speech should realize that he should not go to the extend of hurting the feelings of the Malays and that historical realities must not be questioned to prevent potential issues from cropping up. As promised, his idiotic remark was in saying that if Zaid said that the concept of ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ had failed then Datuk Zaid would not have been what he is today and that Zaid was fortunate to be born a Malay.

Datuk Zaid’s fight to liberate the Malays from the crippling ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ concept thinking and dependency is not being a traitor but a savior to his race. Historical realities are not being questioned by Datuk Zaid but he is only trying to advance the Malay intellect that they can and have the abilities to succeed on their own even without privileges. Datuk Zaid came from a poor family and no aid from Government was given to him to achieve his aspirations of being a lawyer. It was through his own merit and hard work that he succeeded in being what he is today. Instead it is the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ and his dissatisfaction with it that he is no more a minister and a senator today. He did not fail to serve the people through the Government but it was the Government and UMNO that failed him.

The odds are definitely stacked against Datuk Zaid and a break through in reviewing the Malay Supremacy concept might not be something of a reality now but who knows in future. Datuk Zaid Ibrahim’s brave stand in calling the Malays to think and succeed outside the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ is definitely a step towards the ‘Bangsa Malaysia’ concept. For now he may only have caused a ripple but as we know tsunami tidal waves are made of exactly that.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has successfully received enough nominations from UMNO divisions to become the party’s next President unopposed and thus paving way for him to be the 6th Prime Minister of Malaysia come March 2009.

All that is left to say for now is congratulations to Najib and his UMNO cronies for a well played out tactic to ouster Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and commiserations to all Rakyat of Malaysia as discrimination and marginalization is set to continue till at least the next general election.

The Rakyat can’t be blamed for their doubts and mixed feelings on the incoming PM. It is like the country’s leadership and future is based on a choice of picking which is the best of the worst. Can’t believe that in this modern day and intellectual age we are merely resorting to choosing the least sour grape from the whole vineyard.

The present but outgoing PM, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, will hand over all his executive powers and duties come this March or don’t be surprised if he might be forced out of office even earlier right after conclusion of the now ongoing UMNO party election. What can be said of the 5 year Badawi administration??? Generally it can be described as weak and lame with a lot of indecisions and even with a very rarely quick decision, it was still marred with a lot of flip flopping. Universal symptoms of a man with weak principals, visionless and a coward for not having the balls to stand up against his subordinates when his decision is being questioned. Simplified, he lacks of leadership qualities. So it is not a surprise he was forced out of his seat not even a year into his second term as Prime Minister. Yes, can be said that being forced out mainly by his own party members from office is not really a nice thing though deservedly but he has no one to blame but himself.

The present deputy but soon to be Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will take over the reigns in March if not earlier. Over the years of being Information Minister, Defence Minister and now Deputy Prime Minister has proven that this fellow might actually have a caliber of a proper Prime Minister albeit with a heavy stench of Mahathirism. The very fact that he is from the very same racist UMNO party does raise a lot of scepticism about his coming administration and the thought of him being just the mere puppet of Tun Mahathir has not helped the Rakyats’ confidence in him one bit. His alleged involvement in the murder of the Mongolian model Altantuya and the more recent Eurocopter deal scandal has definitely done him no favours.

Najib is an avid fan and fanatical supporter of the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ as seen in his famous ‘keris’ welding quote of having the blood of Chinese flowing through it is definitely a case for concern for not only the Chinese but for all other minority communities in Bolehland. Maybe under Najib we will soon have the Chinese ticking the column stating ‘squatters’ in forms to identify their race. Marginalisation of the Indian community would probably continue unless rumours of Najib practicing Hinduism then maybe it might get slightly better only for the Hindu Indians.

The one person the Rakyat have put hope on to bring about change has silently disappeared. Poor Raja Petra Kamarudin, he placed his faith and trust and has even gambled his freedom on this man but this time RPK maybe should have folded instead of playing this hand. Yes, the man mentioned here is Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Why has he been so silent after much promise of this and that??? Has his bluff finally been called on??? Maybe it is because of the rumoured return on Tun Mahathir that sent shivers down the spine of Anwar. Najib’s strong stench of eau-de-Mahathir-toilette might have been the turn off to Anwar’s plans to shaft Najib’s arse. Can’t blame Anwar though as the return of Tun Mahathir might shorten his new found freedom after all it was Mahathir that sent him to the slammers for 10 years. Or maybe it is the fact that Najib likes anal too so Anwar doesn’t really mind him.

Is there no hope for Malaysia???

Guess it is true that you shall reap what you sow. The inability of the Rakyat to come together to oust the tyrant UMNO goons is the cause of all the said oppression and marginalization experienced now. Credit should be given though to the opposition to have denied UMNO majority in the recent general election but coming close just isn’t really there is it. Yes, the Rakyat in the west may point fingers at those in the east for ignorantly continuing voting for the BN and given them victory but pinning blame isn’t going to make things different or better now is it.

We do have some ‘Bangsa Malaysia’ fighters amongst us. People like Raja Petra Kamarudin and Datuk Zaid Ibrahim are some good examples. Raja Petra who through his blog, Malaysia Toaday, have exposed many of the follies of our croked politicians and opened our eyes to this corrupt top level conspiracy. Even with the attempt to silence him through the draconian ISA detention in Kamunting he has already cause the ripple effect seen throughout the nation as more and more people are voicing out and standing up against the Government. Though he is now released we should not stop supporting him and the cause for a fairer and more transparent government. We should continue to rock the UMNO led Government boat.

Datuk Zaid Ibrahim’s example of a politician with principles and the courage to stand up for it disregard of the consequences should be emulated by all politicians present and future. With Datuk Zaid’s relentless scrutiny against the ISA and the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ has seen him from being a minister with the post of de facto Law Minister and senator till now just a non portfolio Datuk but he has earned the love and respect of the Rakyat. Respect is something that is earned and not forced through fear. Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar should heed this advice, unleashing the ISA to cast fear on civilians will not earn their respect but instead retaliation. Despite of all adversities facing Datuk Zaid, he has not given up fighting and championing for race equality, abolishment of the ISA and the questioning of the ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ concept.

Another champion against the UMNO tyranny that should be mentioned is the Hindu Rights Action Force or Hindraf. They are a group of Indians fighting for the rights to end the marginalization that has plighted the Indian community till today. Sadly the Hindraf has since been banned by the ROS after they gate crashed Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and his cabinet ministers’ Hari Raya open house. The gathering was a peaceful one but the presenting of a ‘Selamat Hari Raya’ festive wishing card and a soft toy teddy bear just didn’t sit well with the PM and his goons.

Hadn’t notice this before but it seems the UMNO abusing bully involved in all the stated events is Home Minister, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar. He is the sorry arse that ordered for the detention of RPK under the ISA, strong critic of Datuk Zaid Ibrahim and the one who instructed ROS to take action against the Hindraf which ultimately led to its disbandment. This bald headed prick has got so much power being the Home Minister and is not afraid to abuse it against those who are anti UMNO. The incoming Najib administration will surely see him retaining his portfolio as the constitutionally legal oppressor.

As the days turns into nights and bring us closer to March 2009 when the lame administration changes hand to the C4 Najis administration, change for the better is the last thing that should be expected. In other words Chinese will continue being deemed as ‘squatters’, Indians will continue to be marginalized and those against UMNO will be considered a terrorist and subjected to the draconian ISA.

Things will not change if we the Rakyat keep resting our future on the shoulder of the few when the few actually needs our shoulders of the many to stand taller against the giant tyrant monster of UMNO.

My suggestion – Send Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar to face UN Human Rights Tribunal and for the 7th Prime Minister of Malaysia – DATUK ZAID IBRAHIM!!!

PKNS or Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor was set up on the 1st of August 1964 to 'encourage socio-economic growth and foster stability, harmony and social justice through property development projects and trade and industrial development and investments'.
It’s philosophy is to develop Selangor by generating ideas and activities for the benefit of the people and to contribute towards creating a united Malaysian society.

So if keeping in line with its fundamental objectives and philosophies why the much fuss about the appointment of Low Siew Moi as the acting General Manager of PKNS?? Is it because of incompetency or is it gender or racial discrimination???

Lets ponder on the first reason shall we...Incompetency. It is a fact that Low had served PKNS and its cause for over 30 years now with 11 of those years served as the Deputy General Manager. Without doubt that she has done well in serving the people of Selangor to be able for promotion till the Deputy GM post. So the question of her competency and ability is out the door.

Next ponder point would be gender discrimination. Loh Siew Moi being a female might have caused some unrest among male chauvinists in the organization but there was also dissatisfaction among female quarters. Chauvinism reason is not valid as I am pretty sure no matter how conventional our thinking in Malaysia maybe, majority of us Rakyat have accepted that female are equals. Who knows in the near future we might have our very own first female Prime Minister. So this may not be the actually reason as well.

If it is not the first two then the third would likely be it and it definitely is the worst reason of all…Racial discrimination. This issue is still ever so present in our society even after 51 years of independence. Modernization and development has not done any bit it seems to eradicate such thinking from majority of Malaysians. Sadly, the competence and well qualified Low is a non-bumiputera and one of us 'squatter Chinese' so her appointment has ruffled the feathers of many.

So the question next question now is, was PKNS established solely for employment of bumiputeras and its philosophy of 'develop Selangor by generating ideas and activities for the benefit of the people’ meaning development and benefit for only bumiputeras when Selangor is a very multi-racial state. If so then amendments to their ‘contribute towards creating a united Malaysian society' where the 'sian' in Malaysian should be omitted. This would make it clear for all Malaysians and those non bumiputeras like Loh will not waste her time and such conflicting issues will not arises.

Of course PKNS wasn’t established for such reasons. The UMNO led Government are bloody bullies but they are not ignorant and suicidal. It was establish to benefit all of Selangor multi racial community with of course the privileged and benefit of some big shot and their families being the main priority above anything else.

So how now brown cow??? Will PKNS decide on merit or on race discrimination???
Of course the right decision should be based on merit but with this issue arising in the first place goes to show PKNS doesn’t have a faintest idea of what’s right and wrong. Whether the person is Malay, Chinese, Indian, Iban, Kadazan Dusun or other ethnic races in Malaysia not mentioned here, if he or she is most qualified and capable then he or she should be appointed. As with the failure of the NEP, we cannot develop ourselves and our nation if race becomes the main criteria in deciding our leaders. They should not be choosen for the mere fact that they are Malay even though they are inefficient and incompetent. Best example, our current lame and weak PM, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Recently a minister made a statement in which he said that the bumiputeras and Malays in Malaysia are the ones that have been compromised a lot. His argument was that the bumiputeras and Malays make up 70% of the population in Malaysia and they are only allocated 30% of reserved rights of the economy as according to the NEP. If based on such statistics then yes he does have a point but if based on economics then he should retract his statement back up his arse. What use is it to reserve 30% of our economy if the ones awarded with it can’t make use of it. NEP was formed to bridge the gap between the Bumiputeras and Malays with other races but the problem is not the gap between races. The NEP objective should be to focus on closing the gap between the rich and privileged Malay families to other Bumiputeras and Malays.

Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khalid Nordin asked, "The question is, what is the appropriate percentage of Malay and Bumiputera participation in the economy?".
Well, the answer Mr. highly educated minister is the appropriate percentage is as much as possible if the Malay and Bumiputeras merit their share based on self ability without such reserved rights and special privileges. Those capable ones will survive and prosper and the weak will wither and die. Then our nation’s economy will be true and strong as posers will not survive. This is the way it should be and have always been for the non-Bumiputera Rakyat. So tell us Mr. Minister, which race has been compromising all this while???

Malaysia cannot forge ahead if it keeps using old out dated policies. These policies is there to only benefit the few privileged UMNO Malays and Bumiputeras. The rest are also abandoned and left to fend for themselves. It is high time Malaysia be done with this kind of policies so we may develop, move ahead and prosper together.

The sole Barisan Nasional MP that sign the petition to prioritise the Parliamentary debate on the Internal Security Act was the 5 term MP for Hulu Rajang and Vice President of Parti Rakyat Sarawak, Billy Abit Joo. His identity was revealed by DAP Ipoh Timur MP Lim Kit Siang during the official opening of DAP Jalong branch.

Credit should be given to Billy Jol Abit for having the balls to stand up for what he believes in unlike his other sissy hypocrite counterparts. He is of a dying breed of politicians, the example of the kind of MP that we need and not the “NATO” (No Action Talk Only) politicians that we have been cursed in abundance with.

Politicians in Malaysia are the exact kind you’d expect every politicians to be, lying, cheating conniving, manipulative, spineless low life scums of no dignity and pride whatsoever. The only difference between a criminal and a politician is one is stupid enough to break the law but the other is smarting enough to makes the law to legally benefit themselves.

But of course there are some good ones left. Funny how as they season themselves in the political world they usually end up corrupted as well. Politics is just the 1 profession where the saying “Don’t let one rotten apple spoil the whole basket” does not apply. Modifications to that saying to make it more applicable would sound something like this, “Hope that one good apple doesn’t rot along in the whole basket of rotten apples”. Sad to say but it is quite impossible when you think about it.

Over the years we’ve seen some bright and courages preachers of change and reforms but in the end once they achieve their political aspirations they end up doing nothing and become the "NATO" politicians.

Maybe there is some truth when people say the minute you join politics, you leave your sense of pride and dignity at the door. Once you enter you will be given a bible of politics where you will preach the holy gospel of lying, cheating and conniving the Rakyat. You will then be instill with the self benefiting love for wealth and power. You will be taught how to manipulate and incite racial sentiments and to manipulate, abuse and oppress the weak and helpless. The Ten Commandments of Politics that you will live by now is to lie, cheat, steal, discriminate, oppress, abuse, manipulate, defame, mismanage and putridness. These are your new believes once you’ve sold your soul to Malaysian politics.

A good example, the MCA. They just concluded their party election recently. During their campaigning, a lot of mention on the review and abolishment of the ISA. Once the poll results were known, those that have won kept quiet as can be seen in the absence of their signature on the petition.

Another good example is the Gerakan. After much talk and hoo hah on the ISA issue and as expected, turned out to be all nothing but bullshit.

I take pride and believe that we Malaysians are now much more intelligent than our past generations but why are most of us still making the same mistake by voting for these goons. Haven’t we realize that the only ones capable of helping us is our own selves. Malaysia is a nation that practices democracy and the basic fundamentals of democracy is “A government for the people and by the people”. We, the Rakyat of Malaysia, are the ones with the power and not those crooked scums.

I recently had lunch with a close friend and after gobbling down the food we had our usual chatter about sports and stuffs but once the very mention of an issue regarding to politics, it was met with rejection. My friend’s argument was that he has no interest in politics whatsoever but the cheese of it all is that how can one living in Malaysia not be interested or concern about the going ons in their motherland especially when politics will determine Government policies which in turn determines our very livelihood and existence.

His rebuttal was “No matter what you do things will never change. The Government will always be filled with spineless crooks who have nothing but their own well being in their minds”.

What he said bears some truth in it but the only reason why it is so today is because most Malaysians have this exact attitude. Most Malaysians just don’t want to bother themselves because they think one person cannot make the difference. Fear maybe part of this ‘whatever la’ attitude here in Bolehland. Most just have the balls to talk about these issues in coffee shops and mind you, it can get interesting if you watch these ‘kopitiam MPs’ argue among themselves silly with sweat and saliva dropping everywhere. Sad thing is that the usual closing arguments will meet with the usual chorus of mutual agreement of “Si aneh liaw la, eh tang an chua ley?” (Hokkien for – that is the way it is, what can you do about it).

Sad isn’t it. It seems like Malaysians are just content to forego their rights in this country to corrupted and crooked lawmakers. It’s not a wonder our ministers nowadays just do as they please. The ministers now don’t even bother to be discreet about their wrong doings anymore. They blatantly abuse their powers to benefit themselves as they know the Rakyat won’t do anything and will just suck it up and swallow it down.

Funniest thing is that we Malaysians proudly claim that Malaysia is an independent sovereign country with democratic laws but in actual fact we fail to realize that we are but living everyday in self denial. Our crooked Government administrators can’t be blame for everything cause it us Rakyat that chose to live in oppression and marginalization as we choose to keep quiet and do nothing about it. We, the people of Malaysia, are the ones that have let our ancestors down who have fought with their blood and lives so that we may have equal rights. Embarrassingly, we also have let our future generations down.

As the age old saying goes, “a twig alone will easily be broken but a bundle of twigs bound together will be strong and mighty”. It may seem somewhat a cliché but it is ever so true. Don’t think your individual voices doesn’t matter cause it does. Your voice plus the voice of many others will help and make the cause of people fighting for our rights strong. People like the Hindraf and RPK. Lets speak together so we can shout out loud and show our support for these people who have given up their freedom for the fight so that we may keep ours.

Down with the racist tyranny of the BN and UMNO. We the Rakyat want peace, harmony, freedom, and equality for all Malaysians!!!

6 year old Hindraf girl arrested!!!

The banned Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf) held an illegal gathering outside the Prime Minister’s office yesterday which resulted in 11 of its member being arrested. Among those that were detained by the police is a 6 year old girl!!!

The gathering was to hand over a memorandum seeking the release of 5 of its leaders before Deepavali on Monday who were detained under the draconian ISA. Though it was a peaceful gathering, any such grouping up of the Oct 15 banned Hindraf movement members are deemed to be illegal. Guess there will be no more birthday parties for them…

Worst still in that now the childrens are not spared anymore as seen with the arrest of the 6 year old girl. Indians with large families who support Hindraf are now faced with risk of being arrested even if they so much so as gather to have a family dinner. They might be convicted of illegal gathering and thrown behing bars whether young or old.

Hahaha!!!

Just joking. Think Malaysian law enforcers are generally decent and rational lot. The only common sense lacking people are politicians and ministers in the Government.

Anyhoo…..the 6 year old girl was arrested because she was said to be the frontliner of the Hindraf activities. Apparently this is the same little girl that presented to our PM a Hari raya card, gift baskets of flowers and a teddy bear. Don’t be fooled by her young age. She is now deemed to be a terrorist who is armed with paper festive cards, sweet smelling flowers, a cuddly teddy bear and is a threat to national security and harmony.

Do not be fooled ladies and gentlemen of her selection of deadly weapons. Her Hari Raya card is known to incite festive moods, her flowers known to bring out fresh natured aroma and her teddy bear known to warm hearts. These weapons of mass destruction are dangerous especially to the UMNO species as they are racist, stink of power abuse with a strong stench of corruption, oppressive and incapable of compassion to other apart from themselves, their own kind and their families.

2009 banned items in Malaysia – All festive well wishing cards, flowers of all kinds (the fate of the Bunga Raya will be decided after Parliamentary seating) and soft toys.

MURDER - The rising crime in Malaysia

Gone were the days when Malaysian streets were peaceful and safe. Not anymore can children play badminton or footie in parks without adult supervision, not anymore can they cycle to their neighbourhood tuck shop to do errands, no, not anymore.....so sad isn't it?!!

Nowadays in Malaysia it is pretty much thenorm when you read the newspaper and find reports of murdered body found nearly anywhere, on streets, in drains, floating in rivers and some found in gruesome state like headless or limps missing. Advancement in technology has definately improve the life and intelligence of human beings but in this super modern technology age, humanity has definately taken a few giant steps backwards. What has happened to the decency in human beings towards their fellow human kind???

Just as I was flipping through The Star newspaper I came across a news reporting that 5 bodies was found in 1 day around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor city area. The victims had slash wounds and one was even beheaded. Even though the victims were all foreign nationals that doesn't deny the fact that it is not safe anymore in Malaysia nowadays.

Best part of the report was the police said they will only secure the bodies on Monday as it was dark by the time they were discovered on Sunday evening. No wonder criminals seldom get caught in Malaysia. Leaving the crime scene another night will only increase risk of lost evidence due to rain, wind or stray scavenging animals. Don't the police force have generators to run spotlights. Hell, if want to commit murder do it on Sunday evenings so if you left something that might incriminate you, you can still double back and remove it.

The competency of the police force have reach a new low when murderers now just leave bodies of their victims lying around without even bothering to hide their heinous crime. At least a certain YB of ours still had some respect for our law enforcers when he blew up a body with C4 explosives to destroy any evidence or traces that might be left behind. Maybe that was his mistake as well. If he were to just dump the body on the street or in the drain to decompose he might have saved himself the trouble of being implicated like he is now. As the hokkien saying goes, "Kiang du ho, mai keh kiang!!!"

With the crime rate soaring, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar is not helping one bit by closing down police beat base especially those in high crime rate areas. How can we depend on the police force to protect us when they themselves don't dare to be at the beat base located in these areas. Maybe the government and the frightened police force should heed the advice of Dr. Mohd Hatta of PAS to just locate police stations and beat bases inside army camps and barracks.

The upholder of the law and the people's protector needs protection.... HAHAHA!!! Can PDRM be any more embarrassing and pathetic.

But then lets not be too critical of our police force la. Lets pay tribute to the stuff they are good at shall we. They are good at setting up road blocks to ask for 'kopi' money, dishing out some more to those who refuse to give them, going around to ask for donations for their annual Policemen's Ball bash and abusing their power as they are the only legal and licensed gangster in the country, Polis Raja Di Malaysia ba. Yup, they are pretty good at these but come time to fight crime, sorry la, it's Sunday evening and dark liaw... they scared scared ah. Polis Di Raja Malaysia or can be known also as Polis Di Raja UMNO, the chicken shit long arm of the law are nothing but a bunch of pussy like the overgrown kitty cat they have as their logo.

Recently a police beat base in the Chow Kit area of downtown Kuala Lumpur was closed down by Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar because its location was considered unsafe.

First, he (Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar) elaborated that the beat base was located in a 'dirty' place where there was a possibility of exposure to diseases.

Secondly, he said the beat base was in a location where the presence of criminals posed a threat to the safety of the police officers.

Why close the beat base on these 2 very lame reasons?!!

If the bloody area is dirty then he being a minister should bring the matter up with the municipal council of that area and clean up the place. The beat base being located in an area infested with criminals is the whole idea isn't it. Only then the criminals would think twice of any crime and the police response time would be fast in case of emergency. If the police force themselves are scared of these criminals then what good are they. How are they going to keep our streets safe? What is the use of our taxpayers money paying salary for these coward bums?

Police Di Raja Malaysia was always known for being fat, slow, lazy, incompetent, untrustworthy, corrupted and now adding to the list, cowards. Next time you have an emergency and call the police, don't be surprise if they don't turn up because they're just too damn scared!!!

RM900,000.00 to improve lives or to build official residence of P.J. Mayor??!!!

The global economy is facing a crisis now with major world economies crashing and sliding, major banks and corporations going or on the verge of bankruptcy and lots of people facing the prospect of retrenchment.

Although we in Malaysia have yet to feel the full brunt of the global economy slowdown but be sure we will sooner or later. Inflation now has gone up to well over 8% which is a whole new record high for the nation and although continuously being assured by the Government that our country is not in any financial difficulties but fear of a repeat of the 1997/98 recession looms ever so real in our minds.

Best advice the Government has been giving so far if for the Rakyat to be prudent in their spending. And heed this advice we should. We must not over spend and set aside some liquid savings just as precautionary measures.

But our Government, being the hypocrite that they are, is still continuingly spending money and worst, on useless non nation benefiting things. This time they have approved a budget of RM900,000.00 to rebuild the residence of the P.J. Mayor. The previous structure was demolished on account of termite problems.

Why does the Government have to provide such an elaborate residence for not only a mayor but other Government officials and ministers alike?? Don’t they have their own homes before they were called into office??

The Malaysian Government has got it all wrong. The nation’s officials work for the Rakyat. We, the Rakyat, are the ones that are paying for their salary. We do not work for UMNO, BN or any other future ruling parties. The money that they are lavishly spending are not their money. It is the Rakyat’s money to be used for the welfare betterment of the Rakayt and I don’t recall ever to have given consent to the Government to lavish themselves with big houses, luxury cars and a big fat monthly pay cheque!!!

All these Government officials and ministers should be provided with huts. They have been enjoying the lives of the rich and privileged that they have lost touch with the hardships of the under privileged Rakyat. They have forgotten the very reason they were chosen to represent the people. They were elected not only to run the Government machinery but to also fight for the well being of the people, not to live like kings and flaunt the nation’s funds on themselves. How pitiful it is to use money that are not theirs to make themselves look good at the expense of the Rakyat.

The RM900,00.00 should be put into better use like for improving the lives of the poor and impoverished. If the RM900,000.00 was broken down and distributed between the under privileged it would greatly lessen some of their burden. You may think the amount is not a large sum which it really isn’t now in this day and age but to them it might mean new clean clothes, proper food or even for medical purposes. It would touch the lives of these 4,500 unfortunate Rakyats.

This is only based on the RM900,000.00 proposed rebuild of a mayor’s house which can make some different to 4,500 impoverished people. What about those over spent budget of the pass. Think how many lives it would have improved if was put to better use.

It’s a win win situation too for the Government if they think about it. These Rakyats maybe under privileged but they are voters too. Show them you care, have compassion and have not forgotten about them then come election day you don’t have to waste more of your time and effort and also our nation’s fund campaigning.

BUT NO!!!

They decide to be selfish, to live the lifestyles of the rich and famous while the welfare of the Rakyat they were supposed to take care of live in poverty even to the point of not having clean running water like the people in some parts of Sabah.

Have you politicians no shame??!!!

This is something that really happened to a woman in North Texas that went for a weekend boating trip which turned fatal for her.

Her normal routine before going to her boat for the weekend getaway she would usually do her shopping to stock up on fresh and canned goods. As what most of us would do, she chilled the canned stuff in the refrigerator on the boat.

Come Monday, this woman was admitted into the hospital and was placed in the Intensive Care Unit. She died the following Wednesday. You may think this is about the health damaging canned products but it is not. This is about a simple basic cleanliness and healthy habit that is always commonly neglected and can be fatal.

Her autopsy concluded she died of a Leptospirosis disease. At this point you might be thinking hey, I don't have that disease so there's no need to worry.

Well, Leptospirosis disease you may not have now but it may be transmitted through dried rat urine. The rat's urine whether still liquid or dried contains many forms of toxic and deadly substances. So how was the woman infected by the disease? Simple, she had a soft drink straight from the can without washing it and the can had dried rat pee comtaminated with the disease germs. So if you plan to have soft drink straight from the can please make sure you wash it cleanly before consumption.

Sorry, I beg to differ. Not only wash soft drink cans but also all other cans of food and drinks. A study ay NYCU showed that most canned goods are more contaminated with germs and bacteria than public toilets. These can goods are all stored in warehouses before being transported to supermarkets before being purchased by consumers and has not been washed at all. So before consuming or stocking canned products please do wash them thoroughly first.

Blame can't be put on the manufactures and retailers so you can't sue them if you or your family is infected. Guess to blame would be the Americans with their slang and refer to toilets as cans so probably the rodents just didn't know better.....

The following text message correspondence is between YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, and Dato' Shafee Abdullah, a Malaysian lawyer who initially represented Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda who is on trial for abeting the murder of Mongolian national, Altantuya Shaariibuu.

While it does not answer lingering questions about Najib's alleged past relations with Altantuya, the text messages show clearly Najib's active intereference in the case very early on. The messages highlight Najib's willingness to speak with both members of the Attorney General's Chambers and Inspector General of Police about the case, something that suggests an abuse of executive power.

What is particularly revealing and troubling is that the counsel, Shafee, keeps asking Najib for details indicating some political intervention that may have influenced the case. This observation is strengthened by Najib's message to Shafee on 16 November 2006: "Pls do not say anything to the press today. i will explain later. RB will have to face a tentative charge but all is not lost." This message raises a lot of questions about Najib's role in this case. Why did he mention "tentative" charge and that "all is not lost" for RB (Razak Baginda)? How would Najib know this before Razak was charged? Is there already a deal in place that will see Razak aquitted? These are important questions which will have ramifications not just on this case but far beyond.

'Datukship' or is it 'Datukshit' now???

A Bollywood star has been conferred our nations 'Datukship' for singing in Melaka. Don't laugh, it is lame but sadly it is true.....

MELAKA, Oct 11 (Bernama) -- Leading Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was conferred a datukship because he has helped promote Melaka as a tourist destination through one of his movies, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam said today.

He said the actor had shot scenes of the "One Two Ka Four" Hindi movie at the A Famosa Resort in Alor Gajah several years ago.

"One of the songs in the movie was filmed at the A Famosa Resort. Millions of people who had watched it came to know about Melaka," he told reporters after the investiture ceremony in conjunction with the 70th birthday of Melaka Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob at Ayer Keroh, here.

Shah Rukh Khan is among the 77 people conferred the Darjah Mulia Seri Melaka (DMSM) award which carries the title "Datuk". The date he is to receive the award has yet to be decided.

Mohd Ali described the conferment of the award on Shah Rukh Khan as an investment without cost which would eventually reap a huge return on investment.

The 'Datukship' title in our country has really fallen to a all new low. From the old days of having to earn it to having money to buy it and now to just singing in front of a historic monument. The title used to carry some meaning and respect but now it's just a joke to have it. I think being a 'prefect' of school holds more prestige than having a 'Datukshit' now.
